    The fact that Washington is playing hero ball makes Dallas super dangerous. Kyrie could easily be doing more, but he's matured as a team mate and letting people play if they're playing great. He'll always be available to close like he did at the end of game 3. My biggest concern (over Luka being hurt) is that Lively is just NOT being aggressive on offense. He never even looks at the basket unless he's catching a lob.

    Funnily enough okc showing so much attention to Luka when he’s injured is helping the mavs, it forces him to be passive and leaving guys wide open, obviously you can’t always count on that strategy but shout out to mavs role players stepping up and hitting shots. It’s allowing Luka to be able to close the games since he’s not having to carry and be dead by the 4th, also kyrie is going to go down as one of the greatest closers in nba history he is literally 6’3 Kobe in the clutch, not to mention 13-0 in series close out games?!? If Luka was 100% I’d easily pick Dallas to win it all, it seems like if they can keep it close till the end Luka and Kai bring them home every single time. Also interested to see pj Washington’s role going forward, obviously he’s not going to avg 25+ but if he’s giving the mavs around 15 every game that adds and entirely new dynamic to that team.

      @guiwhiz Před 15 dny

      Even with Luka at 100% either the Twolves or the Nuggets just bring so much size and power to the table with their starting five it would be a real challenge for Dallas to win 4 out of 7 needing at least one game on the road.

Joker is 6'11" and they claim 285lbs, but we both know that boy rolls in at 3 bills while Gafford is 6'10" 234lbs. Guard size unless radically an advantage one way or the other AND the guard knows how to 'play big' really doesn't matter so much, but in this case JM is 6'4" and 225lbs, KCP is 6'5" and 215, CB (coming off the bench is 6'6" and 230lbs) while Luka is 6'7" 230lbs and Kyrie is 6'2" 195lbs. Denver is significantly bigger and stronger in the frontcourt and is just as big if not a tad bigger in the backcourt and all three primary guards most definitely know how to 'play big' on the glass and defending in the paint.
      DJJ is probably the most athletic on either team overall, but AG is pretty close and MPJ is a LETHAL outside shooter and has seriously stepped up his rebounding and defense this season. So the nod goes to MPJ honestly.

    They ought to Luka to play a point forward role, but in a similar way to Jokic's center point role, especially as his legs start to give in. Playing more in the interior. He may struggle because he's 6'7, but his mid-range game is almost elite and he has good body size on him. They have good rim players, but they need to load up on cutters and shooters to space the interior for Luka. Kyrie is great to take on that exterior playmaker role (similar to Murray), and it they Hardy developing into that role too.

    I sort of think okc got a bit more ceiling with Luka banged up. Fit Luka and maxi and I really think the mavs are tough to be beat. But this playoffs has been the making of pj Washington. Next season could really come together even like luka usage going down a little ie preserving him for the playoffs, emergence of pj… he’s not a role player - he’s like a third star or heading that way.
    If Luka and the bigs score tonight (and they haven’t scored enough) I think it’ll be too much for okc but it’s a big if…. Okc could easily have got another 10-15 points game 3

    I told my guy, Minnesota watched "Come fly with me" before game 3, Denver watched the 86 Celtics in the Finals. Minnesota played like young boys that love to run and dunk and let 3 balls fly. Denver played them like a flute. Big Boy basketball. They got Kat and especially Nas off the 3 point line. They partly did it by basically inviting them to free layups. They also had a plan for Joker in the post. He went right thru Naz's chest. Let me not forget they spoke their mind on the officiating. Some call It crying. I call it game management. If you beat me because they threw out the rulebook for the other team, i'm willing to get a Jeff Van Gundy fine. Denver has to admit they didn't have the proper respect for Minny. I love Ant. He talks like he's been here before. Mike Malone said he only watched videos online.
    I won't give it all away, but Dallas figured out OKC's penetration. That was the difference. OKC has to go back in their bag, or the series is over. PJ is going Vince Carter, while at the same time not trying to do too much. Ky has decided to be a great defender. He could have always been. No better time than right now.
    Boston is trying to act like it's business as usual. It was not. Unbelievable pressure was on the Celtics. Brown was laid back because he already signed. Cleveland now understands what to do. They thought after game 2, they were going to just smack the Celtics. Uh, no. They have to play REAL basketball to even have a chance. Anybody trying to mimic the Warriors will get ran. That day has come and gone. That being said, the Cavs learned some things. Game 4 WILL be a GREAT battle!
    Pacers did what they were supposed to. Knicks are depleted, so I just look at Haliburton. If he is dead serious, Knicks have a big problem on their hands. If he trolls and does all that, the Knicks will be hyper-motivated. And as I said before, TJ is my guy. Please believe he is NOT the mark. He is one of those guys you leave alone...but feel free to try your luck. Dante, in my opinion, played like he hoped game 4 was a continuation of game 3. Gotta start all over and feel the game out. Gotta re-ignite the rage. I know the fatigue is real. So is Garden energy

    I just came across some JJ Redick facts. Last year in the NBA there were 53,430 free throws taken, in 1996 there were 30,120 free throws taken, So they be calling fouls left and right. Last year there were 107,112 rebounds, in 1996 there were 67,583. I am assuming the games are still the same length and they used a shot clock. So that means there are way more misses than there used to be. I guess thats what happens when you take young men after one year of college instead of 4. Those young men need 4 years in the pros to get the fundamentals down (let's use Jonathan Kominga as an example) The players today are obviously more talented physically, but not better basketball players the first half of their career. And only teams now with a veteran core (5 years in the NBA) can compete in a league that still doesn't play defense during the regular season. In the playoffs I did see some inspiring defense from Minnesota one game, but it didn't last to the next game.

    Kyrie is straight up carrying the mavericks since last series. Casual fans or “mavs” fans who are really Luka fans won’t admit it, especially if you just look at the box score, but the energy and pace difference of play between Kyrie and Luka is day and night. Teammates actually feel the trust from Kyrie and you can see it. Luka throws bail out passes for horrible, contested shots after he takes up 3/4 of the shot clock.

      😂 bruh Lu Dort, literally diving and attacking at Luka knees the whole game. Not to say, those should be free-throws, I prefer physical game, but Okc isn't doing themselves justice because they're playing more recklessly than Dallas.
      And Shai, while he performed great, gets more soft calls than anyone else. Just shoulder into somebody with head whiplash, and it's easy free throws for Shai smh
      And don't forget, Okc literally hack and Shaq dereck lively, so Okc intentionally was putting the Mavs on the free throw line! Lmao
