I am an original Nissan Altima owner just hitting 150k miles, the AC is still cold, music is loud, great handling and go about 23mpg. It takes me to snow trips ❄️ and camping 🏕 trips with no problem! Still going strong!

Nice. My 2012 altima ac went out after 4 years but other than that its still running like a champ. Only engine and transmission oil change plus brakes done to it. Hitting 110k miles.

I have a 2012 Altima 2.5 SL, reaching 200k miles now. Im the 2nd owner, I got the car at 56k seven years ago. The interior is looking super clean, everything works and is still intact, only the dashboard got minor cracks in corners. The exterior and body is in great condition. Never had any problems in the QR25DE engine, just regular service and scheduled maintenance will do the job and keep everything working in excellent condition. I have pushed and drove super hard on the CVT, I reversed gears and always played with the tiptronic mode (it was not made for this type of driving) and never had any issues with it, just once in its life I replaced both CV joint axles due to aging with the CVT Fluid (NS-2). I would say this generation of the Altima if maintained and taken care of, can live for 20-15 years easily. Moreover, my Altima is used by the whole family on a daily basis, looking at other vehicles eventually they get broken quickly if driven by more than one user.

As long as you change the CVT fluid every 40k miles they are perfectly reliable vehicles

My 2012 has 218,000 miles. Original engine & original transmission. If you take care of it, yes it will last. I'm proactive with maintenance. At 175,000 I replaced the alternator, starter and belts. O2 sensors and yes a CV axle. Still going strong.

The CVT thing is a lottery.
They're built/designed like shit compared to Th e competition but somehow you still get one on occasion that doesn't neck itself after 60k.
Kinda like getting a KIA that never burns oil, it happens but isn't the predominant experience.

I needed this review because mine is exactly like this one and I'm at 200k miles and only replaced radiator, mounts and ac compressor. No issues fr but when I first got it the dealership was putting 93 gas in it but I swapped to 89 and it still ran great. Thanks for the video bro!

My family has had a 2008 for 16 years. It became mine in 2015 and has been my daily for about 8 years (with the exception of an 8 month period when I thought a BMW was a good idea). Despite what everyone says about the transmission, this car was nothing but reliable for me. I still own it and it has 202k on the odometer. It left me stranded ONE time, and that was at 200k miles when the original alternator finally went.
I would say right around 195k miles is when it started to really show its age. Valve cover gasket, spark plugs, and the big stuff.. like replacing almost the entire front-end suspension and steering between 195k and 202k. But it's taught me how to turn a wrench on a car. Right now, one of the wheel bearings is giving me trouble but given how cheap parts are, its really hard to say no to buying and replacing those too. Ours was well made, and considering all the things I mentioned replacing were the ORIGINAL parts that were sold with the car, I'd say we got our moneys worth.

I had a gray 2007 2.5 S Altima & was fun to drive & was easily the best looking family sedan for its day IMO. It had some problems the four years I owned it, mainly the CVT being replaced at 54k miles, it had 36k miles when I bought it & 66k miles when I sold it. I'll never buy another Nissan as all of the other vehicles I've purchased have been Toyota's/Lexus' & none of them have ever had any problems as expected.

      It was probably used.
Most Altima drivers that for them new weren't the type of people to care or know too much about routine maintenance so there's going to be wear and tear on almost any of them that are this old, however so long as Th e internals aren't too badly fucked up and it doesn't have the CVT you're fine.

They're no dodge avenger level of bad, but 334k miles is unheard of for these, and Camrys come in on the regular with 400k miles. Thanks for your comment! Love to hear high miles stories!
