Yep, its Berdly’s tornado attack which he exclusively uses in his normal route 2nd fight. diagonally flying projectiles that slightly change their firing angle each wave.

neat seeing a bit of Toby's development in there. I've started work on a Shmup to realize how simple it is to create objects, but realizing how, from a game balancing perspective, hard it is to actually put it all together in a way that's fun. Seeing how others do it is a first step to making it yourself.
Those last two are full of undyne energy. Like that second version of the radial spear attack that everyone freaks out at when they see it for the first time. Also happens to be my favorite attack in the game because there’s so much going on yet it’s still somehow a fair challenge
devilsknife change changed the entire fight. I didn't notice until I fought spamton and it was easier than jevil, but what makes the fight hard is the attacks coming from every direction. Chaos bomb and knives are unpredictable, spades come from sides and in rings, diamonds come from the floor, final chaos from the ceiling, and the carosel from the left but also having the appearance of coming from the right on one of them. The fight wouldn't be the same with these old attacks and it really shows how much effort Toby put into this
well off of the top of my head i remember Asgore has an unused attack where he let out a war cry and swung his trident at you. i think the trident alternated between blue and orange so it was dodgeable. Toby deemed the attack too unlike Asgore so he scrapped it.
I think that spade attack got turned into one of Berdly's wind attacks, the one with two sets of four tornados that come real fast one after the other.
Wouldn't it be cool if Jevil could utilize significantly harder versions of attacks from other enemies in the game? I had that thought when he used the attack from the spade king.

I went back to pacify jevil and got the jevilstail from the rocky slide thing, and then I recently went back to attack jevil but the devilsknife isn't spawning. I wanted to have both items just in case, so I'd appreciate some help

yeah it's very likely that this unsued bullet pattern design was polished up and reused for that one
