I agree! I’ve seen almost all of them during Live and the chat is a bunch of demanding jerks! And some are just mean to Tyler, “Tyler talks too much” ummmm I’m pretty sure the point is for him to talk? I greatly enjoy listening to BOTH of them talk! “Tyler is sweating”…. Yeah… at least 4 ppl in a room with lights… it’s going to happen and you do not need to point it out and make him feel bad. People just need to sit back shut up and enjoy what content!

Cynthia McDonald yes it’s insane the degree of nitpicking that goes on during chat, a lot of which doesn’t have to do with the task at hand but are aimed more towards random personal things like saying that Saf or Tyler are pronouncing things weird, or sweating or whatever else they can come up with and it’s clear the intent is to hurt their feelings, not to correct or help in any way.
I feel so much better hanging out with you guys when there's no chat distracting you or bringing the mood down, I'm so happy

I kinda think it’s sad they feel stressed by chat, because I feel the total opposite in Cristine’s chat. Other than some of the baking streams and the Saturday when Saf happened to post about Crusty, I feel super connected to people in the chat. Like everyone has fun interacting. I think the membership aspect helps with that. I think there are a lot of younger fans here, which they can be really critical and demanding for no reason.
@@RoKer13 i also think that Saf and Ty have a larger audience as well, and that may play into the level of intamacy that their streams have. Christine and Ben are also more lowkey and "grounded" than saf and ty might be (no shade, im the same way lol)

I agree, the Carly chat makes things much more relaxed, the people going apeshit about hand washing and how fast Tyler whisks and the dumbest shit imagineable shouldn't stress you guys out. Chat assholery stresses me out too and I'll be glad if this helps cut down on that.
I agree. Anyway they are the only ones eating it so why do they need to keep handwashing? Are eggs so toxic in the u.s.?
@@pheart2381 standards being what they are, salmonella is so vanishingly unlikely. I might rinse my hands or wash them altogether after I crack a bunch of eggs, but mostly if I get the gunk on them because it's sticky.

I really enjoyed this video. I think you 2 interacting without chat is a great call. It made me feel bad all the times people in chat brought you down.
A big portion of what holds me back from making assorted pancakes at home with loads of ingredients is all the prep and cleanup involved. I’d pay to make pancakes of all different flavors and fillings at a restaurant and then leaving the mess and prep for them to clean up. Sign me up!

Yeah I'm in the UK and to get a variety of fresh berries for pancakes can cost quite a bit of money. Let alone all the time needed to prep and tidy it all up. I'll normally make pancakes with one or two ingredients.
If I make pancakes I literally just mix everything in one bowl so it's not a lot of cleanup. Depends on if you're messy though, I guess.
Same! Also not having to buy loads of ingredients for like 2 people...
I usually use. A box mix for pancakes and add fresh ingredients or chocolate chips in after it’s mixed. I’m thinking about buying and mixing a large amount of all the dry ingredients together myself and store the mix in a big container. Would save more money that way and avoid the weird gross ingredients that are in pancake mixes (corn syrup solids, soybean oil etc 🤢)

Finally I have been saying since last year that Carly should be handling the chat. I think it is nice that you want to interact with us but sometimes it feels like you are more focused on what is happening down there than the video and causes awkward moments. Please keep this up.

A lesson to learn, you will never please everyone. You could make people angry just by breathing the wrong way. So... just do videos that make you happy as long as it's not against the law or pervy and stuff

fun story: i'm australian and the first time we visited america we stopped at the airport mcdonalds for breakfast and got mcgriddles. wasn't until we opened them that we realised they were pancakes and not english muffins. although we were all horrified (even me at 8), it rly is a quintessential american food item lmfao

I need y'all to know that your relationship to Gilmore girls is my relationship to these streams. I've watched basically all of them live, and then 3 or 4 times in the week after they come out, then many more after a few weeks and months and even a year (so they don't get stale). I've even done this with the Age of Empires stream which is actually one of my faves. But the one I've rewatched the most is the choconoodles one. Truly the only thing keeping me from completely falling apart is Tyler getting tennis elbow from squeezing chocolate noodles out of a plastic tube.
I love McDonald's but I only just tried a McGriddle last year on a road trip. I can't believe I've been missing out for years lol Excited to see how this turns out!

I love Joshua Weisman’s videos! His recipes are pretty advanced but so fun! When I attempt them I think it takes me twice the amount of time it takes him haha

🍌🥞My husband and I make banana pancakes together almost every Sunday!
Our go-to is just adding mashed bananas to our regular pancake mix - with a little bit more mix to compensate for the moisture being added by the bananas depending on how ripe they are. 10/10 also recommend adding oats to the mixture. We always pair it with turkey sausage and maple syrup. 😋

When I was a kid, my favorite breakfast from McDonald's was a plain sausage McGriddle (literally just a sausage patty between the McGriddle buns) and grape jelly lmao, I can't even explain it but oh my god it was so good. I kind of want one now

I did this in 2020, only the recipe I followed had me do the syrup in a sheet that hardened and then was busted up until syrup crystals. It was much easier than making all those little syrup balls.
Honestly felt the feeling about the week. Mine has been super busy and it has felt like Friday since Monday.
Calgary was the nearest big city to where I grew up and any time we stayed overnight there we always stayed at the Sheraton specifically because of the waterslide! It’s been probably 30 years since I’ve been there, but Safiya talking about it brought ALL the memories crashing back!

Agree with others that your chemistry I'd so much better without constant chat interruptions. Saf in particular sometimes seems not focused on the task because she's so focused on the chat. I just love to see the Saf and Tyler energy together.
I think the log cabin ( or what ever brand that was) syrup worked because I think they add glucose to that kind of syrup. I think it helps it from crystalizing on the shelf and maybe that is why it worked better. That is my guess.

The way Gilmore girls soothes Safiya at night (granted yes for me it's the same and I also don't like the last season) is the way all and any vidoes of Safiya and Taylor is to me. I have watched and rewatched and watched with other people all of their videos. Just the 'hello friends and welcome to another video' immediately soothes my anxiety and calmes me down, I sleep to it and wake up to it when I'm having a hard time.
