DRAGO DZIERAN: US Navy SEAL, Author of 'Pledge To America' (Part 2)

- In this week’s Team Never Quit Podcast, we bring you Part 2 of this episode featuring Drago Dzieran. A real American - born in Poland.
Drago Dzieran is a former political prisoner for his activism against Communism. After arriving in the United States unable to speak English, Drago eventually became a US citizen, enlisted in the U.S. Navy and trained to serve as a Navy SEAL for 20 years. In Iraq, he fought in over 100 combat missions as the Naval Special Warfare Lead Breacher. Drago was awarded Bronze Star with “V” for valor, Navy Commendation Medal with “V” for valor, in addition to other various awards and decorations.
Following his honorable retirement after twenty years in the Navy, Dzieran began a successful career as a software engineer. Drago founded the Navy SEALs Fund, a nonprofit with the mission of providing support for all generations of current, retired, and former UDT/SEAL teammates, their immediate dependents as well as Gold Star Families. • We have former Generals saying that the Russians - “these poor souls don’t know they’re at war. They think they are on exercises.” You have to be an imbecile to repeat something like this. You have to be an idiot. (11:32)
• [Ukranians] They want to be free, and our media is lying about it. (12:53)
• Ukranians were always very patriotic. (13:10)
• [Navy SEALS Fund] The way we operate is different than most charities. We don’t have paid positions. The fund is run by SEALS only. (35:57)
• We help the Gold Start families: the spouse, the children, parents and siblings. (43:19)
• We need to do something right then. We don’t need to send it through this board of “Lets talk about it when we meet next month. (44:27)
There would be no Drago if not for people like Marcus, Morgan, Rob, Tage, Taco, & Jocco. (48:09)
• For the Navy SEAL fund we don’t have forms and check the box. (61:08)

I caught this podcast a few months late. I've listened to Drago on Jocko's podcast. He has a great story and message.
I never met Drago but my older brother (RIP) graduated BUD/S in 1997 and was at Team Two and then Four until 2002 before going to DEVGRU and I definitely remember hearing Drago stories back in the day. Absolute Legend!!!

Sounds like what’s happening in America.
Hi, I’m a woman in her 20s and I’m training to become a U.S. Navy SEAL. How should a woman prepare for BUD/S? If you had to go to BUD/S again, how would you prepare differently? How many miles should I run per week before going to BUD/S? I want to go enlisted.
According to what some BUD/S dropouts told me, one female SEAL candidate broke her legs in Basic Orientation (BO) which is the first two weeks of BUD/S, another female SEAL candidate broke her legs in BUD/S Prep and a third female SEAL candidate got rolled back in BO for stress fractures. None of them made it. Evan Eichler told me that one of the women he trained was medically dropped from BUD/S because she broke her ankle.
According to the SEALSWCC Scout Team, most female SEAL candidates struggle with load bearing and just don’t have enough durability. Women have weaker bones and tendons than men, studies have shown that women develop stress fractures 3x more often than men. Do you have any advice for becoming more durable?
sorry to say biology rules supreme the female body will break down under that kind of training even males over 30 are not allowed in because of the physical demands of the training

Unfortunately many of the ways socialism operates is being manifested in our country. It really grieves me especially for people that come to this country to escape such regime. I am grieved too for those in the military who have shed their blood so we could have choices.
That Ukraine’s a real problem. They need freedom but I’m worried just what Zelenski stands for. Horrible stuff
So Putin didn't lie to his soldiers about their reason for being there? Too much proof from both sides to the contrary. Interesting guy. No doubt that Russians are warmongers but I'm not buying the Russians were prepared for Ukraine. I've listened to other veterans (that studied Russia) say the complete opposite. Hard pass on the interview. I've listened to Drago before, cool guy, I don't doubt his experience but the Russian soldiers were completely caught off guard for this invasion; to the point that some of them were trying to kill their own officers.
