- Symptoms like weight gain, dry skin, muscle weakness and pain, thinning hair, hair loss . . . might be related to the loss of estradiol and progesterone at menopause . . . but they can also be related to another set of hormones. This video explains testing, treatment, and re-testing to eliminate the hormone-related symptoms that all seem to come at the same time.
Should you take HRT for menopause? If that question feels impossible to answer, I'm here to help. My digital course, The Menopause Solution, guides you through Searches, Stories, and Studies to help you make your HRT decision.

This has made so much sense to me! Doctors fail women daily sadly. The hormone nurse new more than the doctors. I am going get my thyroid levels tested.
Thank you for your work. This is exactly what I am going through. I am in perimenopause already on progesterone and testerone but all of a sudden tons of hot flashes and dizziness and fatigue. My thyroid numbers are lower now .
Estrogen helps with hot flashes.
Steve - THANK YOU! Absolutely, EXCEPTIONAL information. I greatly appreciate the time and effort you put into these. You are truly bringing HOPE to so many of us!
Still looking for a hormone optimizing doctor in the Florida panhandle 😉 but your information is a huge help while I continue this journey.
Thanks again!
Great video. Concise!
@rachaela5519 Glad you think so!
Love Steve's passion for women's health! Keep the videos coming ❤
@irideCrossTraining Thanks for watching! I'll do my best.
Thank you Steve. You explained everything so well! I’m on HRT, but I’m still very tired. I’m getting a full thyroid panel done just to see where my thyroid levels are.
@crh251 Sounds like a strong direction to head.
Steve, thank you for all the helpful info you share with us! I’m in pero and started BHRT. I noticed Progesterone makes my veins pop up more and I even got bad varicose veins since I started BHRT. I do remember not being able to take birth control pills when I was young because I noticed my veins would become very noticeable. Not I’m dealing with varicose veins and pain in the back of my legs. I feel like we should add this to the list of Progesterone side effects. A lot of women don’t know about it and I think there should be more research or info about it. I guess my question for you is, have you ever had any women complaining about the same issue due to P? Thank you.
My thyroid numbers are still in range, but on the lower side. My doctor thinks it's fine. 🤦
Getting old sucks. Especially if you have other medical issues!😮
