you have to press ctrl or crouch for 3 seconds so you can jump again but you need to gain momentum in order to trimp other objects. btw use slits because Hermes shoes slow you down when you emote hop. (I can't detailly explain because it's my whole knowledge on it) I hope it helps and I recommend practicing emote hopping on arid ruins, desert bus, drab, jungle, crossroads, and icebreaker.
It might be because you jump or slide right after you use your emote for it to not get canceled you need to wait 2-4 seconds then start jumping or sliding!
