Matt’s bassline in this one is absolute fire. They nailed the iconic beat and it’s a fantastic mashup. One of my favorites. I listen over and over and it’s fantastic.
Matt & Kevin Kills it with Their Awesome Beats & Bass, Scott kills it with his Amazing Vocal, Mitch & Kirstin are So In Sync with Their Stellar Vocals that they sound like 1 Voice, & Their Bell Tones!!!!
Those chimes you liked are called "bell tones". Cool, eh? Matt's bass is amazing as well as Kevin's beatboxing. Thank you for appreciating their talent. I look forward to your next PTX reaction.
I love seeing you react to PTX and appreciate the musical details. It's what made me subscribe! I have 2 recommendations: "Attention" (Charlie Puth cover) for a really fun arrangement and video style that lets everybody shine, including Matt on a humorous bass line. And "12 Days of Christmas" (never mind that it's not the season, it's too good), a very new one that lets everybody have two good solos.
Great reaction! I'm glad you gave props to the beatboxing and bass by Kevin and Matt. I do feel like their talents can be underappreciated at times. Make sure you react to everyone's recommendations. Every, single one is stellar!!
I knew you’d love this one! You should check out “Cheerleader”. If you do “Aha!”, you should really do the original video first, to know what song it is, then head over to the “Aha! Live Singapore The Star Vista” to see the live version. Also known as the “where’s Kevin” video, as he is putting his cello away in the beginning of the video.
Honestly, since the official video is about as close to a real music video that PTX does and therefore doesn't show you much of who's singing, I think the livestream version would he a better comparison. You'd still get to hear how they first arranged it, but you also get to really see/hear the other members' contributions which is what is missing in the Singapore video. But that's just my opinion.
This was the one that made most Pentaholics realize that Matt was gonna do OK for himself as a member of the group! I think you are ready for Aha, but I always suggest that reactors do a "double reaction" video, reacting to the studio version/official video first, then the Live Singapore Star Vista version second. Most Pentaholics believe that this is the best single live performance of Pentatonix's career!
Great reaction! This was early on after Matt took over as bass, and Kevin and Matt make a killer bass and drum combo. This is a really smooth and fun take on the two songs. When you get to Aha!, please know that Kevin is there through all of Aha! He was offstage during the intro putting away his cello from the prior song, and comes onstage just as Aha! begins. Otherwise, you will join the many reactors who ask "Where is Kevin???"
Thank you for (finally) reacting to this awesome mashup. I love how they merged the two songs. It's one of my favorite Pentatonix videos. They have hundreds of good choices of videos. Their cover of "Havana" is pretty awesome too.
Your lovin the bass line and beatboxing, next without a doubt should be off thier latest original album The Lucky Ones a song called Coffee In Bed. Kevin goes off on this original song
The story is that Kevin was messing around mashing up the two songs and Scott heard him and suggested the group take up the project because it sounded so cool. This is one of the few songs that has zero Mitch breakouts that makes my very top tier of PTX songs. Havana, Say Something, Shallow and Perfect are good in the same vein. Hell, a whole lot of the Matt era has Matt making up for my disappointment in there being less Mitch. I think you can probably do Aha! whenever you're ready now 🤣 Of course, no one is ever actually ready 😂 ...but the point is that you're set to appreciate it for what it is instead of getting stuck on what it isn't (professional quality or anything but a Mitch (and Avi) showcase)
You have earned a new sub here...loved your reaction!!!I just saw Kirstin's solo video for her single "Naked" and it is PURE FIRE!!! She is just STUNNING!! Mitch's cover for "Your Power" will just give you full body CHILLS!! Definitely keep the PTX ball rolling!! Patiently waiting for more of your reactions and stay safe and healthy
I agree with the comments about "Aha!" Do the official video first, so you know what's going on in the live version. The live one is about vibe and personality and vocal pyrotechnics, but the official will let you know more about what's meant to be happening in the song. ETA: "Say Something" is beautiful.
Exactly! There's always so much to unpack in a PTX performance. Their arrangements are so well thought-out, and then so artfully executed, with all the layers and transitions and swapping of roles, it's impossible to catch everything on the first run-through. Great attempt, Septo! Excellent review, as always.
I don’t think you have done their live in studio evolution of …. Medley’s? They are all fantastic. Also if or when you do the Aha video, definable do the original video and the live side by side….they are different and watching the original video, which is very different than all other ptx videos, then doing the live will make much more sense plus both are fantastic. Thanks, love your reactions!
I'm not exactly sure what those are but if your talking about like the Michael Jackson, Rihanna etc. I've reacted to those two. They weren't live performances but I'm guessing it was the official studio/music video versions of them.
Very seldom do anyone request "Valentine" by PTX. But please, please, please check it out. It will bless you. You don't have to react...but give a shout out to Valentine and I will know. Bless you ♥️
Matt’s bassline in this one is absolute fire. They nailed the iconic beat and it’s a fantastic mashup. One of my favorites. I listen over and over and it’s fantastic.
I absolutely agree!
Matt & Kevin Kills it with Their Awesome Beats & Bass, Scott kills it with his Amazing Vocal, Mitch & Kirstin are So In Sync with Their Stellar Vocals that they sound like 1 Voice, & Their Bell Tones!!!!
Insane! They absolutely killed it.
@@septomj Yes They Did!!!! They All Have God Given Talents!!!!
this is probably my favorite PTX song, period. Everything is just perfect. Kevin and Matt just killed it. And Scott, just amazing.
absolutely amazing! I can see why it's your favorite.
You have to also hear their cover of “Can’t Hold Us” by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. It’s from their early days but so good ❤️
Nice! I'm looking forward to that one. I used to love the original song by Macklemore and Ryan so I'm looking forward to hearing their rendition,
@@septomj Oh man! If you liked the original, you’ll really appreciate their version!
Kevin beatboxing is fire, add Mitchell's chimes & Matt's bass is wonderful.😊
That is Their Bell Tones!!!!
PTX always impresses with their mashups; this one, La La Latch even all the back to the Sing-Off days. Thx for doing this reaction!!!

I love Matt and Kevin in this song. They killed it! Thanks for reacting to it!
No problem! Thanks for watching! I agree. They absolutely killed it!

OMG...Avigasms with his low notes and then Mitch with just crystal clear soul-shattering high notes OMGGGGG YASSSSSS
Ok cool. Ill add cheerleader to my list. I look forward to Aha lol
