Last year I read 105 books, and I started 2023 with the goal to read 100 books because it almost felt like if I failed I wouldn't be a real reader (??). In November, I was behind on my goal and that's when I realized that having that goal was taking the fun out of reading so I thought to hell with it! SO I totally get you!
perfect reading goals! I want to read ca one book per week, didn't manage to do it last year (big reading slump) but I think it's doable. I want to enjoy aaaaall them books from my bookshelf, so a little less book buying hopefully
My official goal it to get my TBR to drop under 200 so that are technically about 80 books… but that is not counting the kindle books I read all the time😩☺️
@@Vivslittlelibrary something that helped me is when I am not liking a book I don't immediately decide to DNF it, I just put it aside and pick up another book. If when I finish the second book I don't feel like picking back up the first one then I force myself to DNF it. Hope it helps xx

Yeah… I set my goal to 1 book in 2023 because I didn’t want to stress myself…

Yes! People definitely need to get more comfortable with DNF! It absolutely set me free once I started doing it.

Also I unfed 5 books this year (in 2022 I didn't dnf even one book) and I PROMISE this way it is so much better!
I DNFed a few books as well but I wished I did more…😂
