TheDanzomanzo Oh good. Sometimes it's frowned upon to accidentally use british slang. Some people mix up the whole 'anglophile' thing, with just plain having the slang rub off on you. I find myself using British slang a lot. It's quite common knowledge to know at least a few, but most people just make fun of me when my tongue slips up like that.

Its weird to me 7 years ago, 6 dudes were sitting in an office playing video games and having fun. 2 out of the 6 now no longer being with achievement hunter is so sad to me. I was probably 12 first watching this and i still go back to just feel what i used to. Crazy how time goes by.
I know exactly what you mean. I was 18 when this came out. I am SO nostalgic watching this group of gents play this game that it just hurts to think about the way things are now. I can't even follow their social media pages cause it's just full of people I don't recognize

Ryan keeps saying they're running out of resources. Let's do some math...
Gold for example. The overworld is 862x862x60(ish). That's 44,582,640 blocks. Let's assume Achievement City is 70% dry land, which leaves 31,207,848 blocks. The spawn rate of gold ore is 0.1437 percent, therefore there were roughly 4,484,567 gold ore blocks at the creation of the map. That would mean they would have each had to have mined about 9,342 gold ores per Let's Play to use up all the gold. I think it's fair to say there's plenty of resources left in Achievement City.
P.s. I have an exam tomorrow, and this is what my procrastination has let me to. Fml....
The real area for gold ends up being about 862x862x30, given the spawn area for gold being at maximum height y-level 32, and tapering off toward the lowest levels. Also, your math is off by two orders of magnitude, probably a miscalculated percentage. There are actually only about 34000 gold ore blocks (less when caves are considered) in Achievement City, meaning that it is very possible to have used up a significant portion of them, especially given that they tend to mine in the same areas (i.e. near the houses) more frequently, thereby depleting the gold available. Also, they use inefficient mining techniques and rely on caves for many mining ventures, which excludes a lot of the possible ore.
Andrew Sherrard Yeah, you right. Although the spawn percentage is off the Minecraft wiki, so I'd like to think it's reasonable accurate.
Callum Jeffcoate What I meant with the percentage is that you treated it as 14.37% in your calculations. But yeah, I think the Wiki percentage is fairly close to being correct.
So that means that upon the world being spawned, there are 4,982 full gold blocks in Achievement City. (9 gold ore= 1 gold block)

Ice Cube is a strange one. They started building it in creative, without even thinking about what happens to ice blocks when they're destroyed. The idea of the Let's Play was never to have water everywhere - that was an oversight they realised when building that one where people and blocks were hidden under hills.
