Old vid dunno if I’ll get a response but any reason why my quad starts up SUPER nice, first cycle, when it’s cold. But when it’s been running for a while, it might have to cycle 2-3 times to start up?

It could be just due to being warm, everything is a little tighter once it warms up in the engine.

Ive been shopping for a couple days for a budget quad that i can tinker on and potentially resell in the future, and had read someone said something needed new valves when they bought it, then it stopped running and never started back. Guessing thats what you was talking about, but any ways, thanks for the pointers, is there any particular bike that you'd recomend for someone who's never had one of these, but has always had a midsized quad?

Just try not to buy something with a ton of issues. My LTZ400 was SUPPOSED to be a cheap build since i had a lot of parts for it. Turns out it needed a lot more than i thought and the little costs add up fast. I now have much more in it than i could sell it for here. If you are buying a project, NEVER take the sellers word for it if they say just needs carb work or starter is out so you can't hear it turn over. I can't tell you how many bikes i have looked at that the seller said weren't locked up and they were locked up.

@@TheATVHustle thats what i figured. I have a ton of them around me like that and the plastics are crooked so its like its been rolled. Im looking at a yamaha warrior right now that the description says it just needs a battery for 900 and i know in good shape they are worth 1100, but this one is spray painted black. If they go down to 600 im taking a battery and looking at it and seeing if it'll crank. Thanks for the heads up and helpful video.

@@lilmancc35 that sounds like it could have potential, just be sure they pulled the plastic to paint them. If they sprayed everything it’s a pita to get off.

@@TheATVHustle yeah i know. Like i said though, im going to wait a bit. Tryong to sell soem stuff. Judging by the pictures, its going to be a hit pr miss because it looks like they painted the frame but didnt get under it, that or they drove it so much the paint came off on the undercarriage. There is also a inline fuel filter i noticed for somereason where there usually isnt one.
