By the way, one of Navalny's last legal battles was for the right to have a New Testament and Psalter in his cell. He spoke about it extensively in court in January. Navalny also told the judge he was brought the Law of God (a basic text for Orthodox) by a priest which was also immediately confiscated. He was also banned from having a prayer rope or beads.

I doubt it after reading a brief summary of Jacques Baud's biography of the man in the Postil Magazine's article (June 2023), Alexei Navalny: The Real Story, but you never know. Colonel Baud was a Swiss Intelligence Officer, soldier, NATO bod in Ukraine, now author of several books on intelligence, asymmetric warfare, terrorism and disinformation.

How could anyone who has followed Alexei for years not think of him as a hero? You don’t have to be living in a Russia Regime to believe in him and mourn his death. As a Caribbean who ex bf is Russian I view him as a Hero and a Martyr. He gave his life for freedom of his country and people.

Did you listen to the video? There seems to be documented evidence that he was funded by the us government. In Russia he wasn't liked much as far as I know. He got only 4% of votes, which is extremely little.

Сестра Васса,расскажите, пожалуйста, почему при всем том что происходит уже эти кошмарные 2 года, РПЦЗ все еще поминает патриарха как своего "великого господина ". Одно только это отворачивает верующих от РПЦЗ и соответственно РПЦ. РПЦ в лице патриарха оправдывает убийства в Украине и молчит по поводу Навального. Так почему же прихожане ПРЦЗ должны поминать патриарха при каждой службе и молиться за него? (Речь не идёт о молитве за врага)

рпц - сокращение до подобной аббревиатуры уже намекает на истинное отношение к вере тех - кто якобы является верующим, занимая позицию патриарха и прочие должности в церкви.... гундяеев такой же бандит в рясе, как путин бандит в облачении президента. есть компания рпц, и есть верующие православные христиане, посещающие храм и церковь, как место обращения к богу, а не как декорацию для запудривания мозгов окружающим - чем активно занимается мафиози в рясе, и прочие приспешники своего крысиного короля. ведь когда патриарх стоит и молиться в храме, а потом призывает людей идти на убийство других людей... очевидно, стены молитвенного места - в его случае - это просто то что используется как прикрытие и маскировка.

Привет из России. Я уважаю Алексея как смелого, несгибаемого человека, хотя никогда не был его политическим сторонником. Да, он был Христианином, да, его смерть - трагедия для многих. Но стоит ли говорить об официальной церковной канонизации? Ему не предлагали отречься от веры перед смертью, значит, Мучеником (Martyr) он быть не может. Он мог бы стать Страстотерпцем (Passion bearer), но тогда следует доказать, что он активно проявлял свою веру именно в тяжёлых условиях тюремного заключения, а не когда писал посты в интернете. Мы рискуем сделать нашу веру политическим инструментом.
