  • Today we will be touring the Memphis Nebraska State Recreation area.
    Memphis is a small village located in Saunders County, Nebraska, in the Midwestern region of the United States. Its population was 109 in the 2020 census. Memphis was established in the 1880s when the Chicago, Burlington, and Quincy Railroad was extended to that point A large share of the early settlers being natives of Memphis, Tennessee caused the name to be selected.
    The Memphis State Recreation Area is situated on 163 acres of land and features a picturesque 48-acre lake. This natural area offers various recreational opportunities for visitors to engage in outdoor activities and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. There is also a recently established wildlife preserve.
