In this video, we take you through the process of cleaning / caring for / refurbishing a Babyzen Yoyo, in order to get it to look and function as close to new as possible, without replacing parts. This video is not about fixing mechanical issues, but rather demonstrates a series of steps for tightening, cleaning, and lubricating the stroller (both the textiles and the chassis), to show what can be achieved. We show the overall process in the video, but more in-depth videos of each stage of the process can be found on our channel.
Such a good video...you have me wanting to run to a homeware store and get those spray oils 🤣...I definetly rewatch this after winter when I want to clean my babyzen
This is fantastic! Thanks for sharing these useful tips
Good video. Thanks for sharing.
What style of screwdriver do I need? You mentioned it in the video but it was too fast for me to catch
Is there a way to tighten a looseness/wiggle in the handlebar in the unfolded position? I tried tightening the screw next to the handlebar push button, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Thanks!
Thanks for the amazing video!
Is there any bolt I should tighten to avoid the handel movement (free back nd forth unwantes movement). Thank you!
I would like the answer to this too!
Thanks
One nice thing about silicone spray is that it doesn't attract dirt as some oil lubricants do.
This is true. For exposed element, or if one is actually disassembling mechanisms, then silicon spray and thicker greases are better, but they unfortunately can't be counted on to, for example, spray into a crack between 2 elements on the handle and be trusted to run down all the way to the locking elements at the center of a stroller chassis like WD40 can. :)
For the newborn pack, do you know how to reinsert the board inserts in there? Theres 2 and one has a flappy bit. its not clear which way round they go back in.
Hi! Do you happen to know how many rips (the metal bars) I have to remove from the canopy of Yoyo +0 to get it into the washing machine? And can I put the cushion too? Thanks!
Only those metal bars which can clearly be removed, I 'don't remember on the 0+, but there are 2 on the seat canopy. The cushion can be washed as well :)
Hello! thanks for your video! I have a question. The chassis yoyo near the rear wheels creaks. how can this be eliminated? I do not speak English. The question was written in Google translator. I hope you understand me. thank.
Hello,
I’ve got a babyzen yoyo stroller in black and was wondering if I could get some help maybe ordering a spare part. I’ve been having problems with the stroller way too many times and I’ve only have this pram 2 years. The back brakes have broken three times already! And it makes this awful motor like noise whilst I have my child in there.
I tried the nail polish remover but it just faded the paint work. Any tips on this?
Just wish the wheels could be popped off like our Nuna stroller. I took our Babyzen to the park only once and it got so dirty and muddy that the wheels need to be cleaned after the first use. Do you have a video with regards to cleaning the wheels themselves? I’m assuming there’s no easy way...
Yes, actually :) czcams.com/video/6o4iWqUrovQ/video.html
What is the stroller was wet during the summer and now smells moldy?
Depends a little bit on what the textiles are made of. Most stroller textiles will tolerate a low concentration of chlorine without getting miscoloured, so if you have a better-brand stroller, remove the textiles and wash them in a machine (if possible), following the instructions from this video: czcams.com/video/5MvjlbNJIko/video.html
For a stroller with cheaper-type textiles, you could try vinegar. :)
