in australia we dont have african australian, latino, asian. we have those ppl here but once natralized everyone is australian and we are very proud of that.
Righto, in a perfect world
I’m very proud of this comment, and I’m usually quite grumpy.
The reason why I served in the Military like my elders and will always uphold the freedom and rights of people who come here fleeing persecution, war or just the basic need to be free. PAR ONERI
RIP Judith Durham. One of a kind voice.
The first verse is about our indigenous first nations people, the second verse is about European colonial history.
We are one, but we are many, and from all the lands on earth we come. It means we are all one people, that there's lots of us and even though we come from all the countries of the world we're all one people. If you come to Australia, it doesn't matter who you are or where you came from you are Australian.
They are singing about all different periods of Australia. The indigenous, the convicts and eventually being an Australian. I love being Australian with indigenous and European background and this song enshrouds everything being an Aussie means. Many of our ancestors didn't choose to come here but we have made the best of it. RIP Judith ❤
Such a wonderful country with warm friendly people. My favourite race on earth (apart from us of course!). Hate the buggers when they whack us at cricket though 😉
Our first Australians have been here for 65,000 years. This has been corrected from 40,000 years in this song.
Judith got a lung disease from having measles as a child. She recovered from a stroke to do this goodbye tour. The lung disease ended her life but she still had that voice. She will be missed and she was 79 years old.
65 thousand has too many syllables to fit the rythm of the melody.
THE SEEKERS💖👫👬🌟🤩✨
Great!🎼🎵🎹🎸🎻🎤📀👍💯
From Hong Kong🙋♀️🌏💝🌺🥰
Big thanks
From America, I wish that we could see ourselves as one!
RIP Judith, you will live on in Song Forever.❣❣🐨🐨🦘🦘
It's a brief over view of both the history and the country and a song many of us wish was the national Anthem.
RIP Judith Durham. They are giving her a State funeral. She was 79 and died of lung disease.
Just adding that you got that correct about being one but many, we are a nation built from immigration.
💜
Judith had the voice of an angel. And she was a caring person, never a bad word from her.God has inherited a beautiful Angel.RIP.
So true
Good night , sweet Judith , and may angels sing thee to thy rest
This should be our National anthem
Love the song, we are truly one, in respective of our races 💯
It's about the indigenous peoples who had been here for now 65 000 years, they saw the first fleet arrive with convicts and free settlers, then the convicts struggles, the settlers and their problems, and the various people who came after. The Australian accent came from the second and third generation of children.
Thanks for recognising our living legend brother.....look up on the seekers history, its amazing.
This song is like an historical song they are singing about there forefather and all those pass along rip
😉
She was 79 years old - nearly 80. They met in 1962 and have been recording over much of that time. Judith Durham was born in Australia but spent a lot of time here in the UK. Judith Durham 1943 - 2022 RIP
Woow 😯
Judith Durham was not born in England. She was born Judith Mavis Cock in Essendon, a suburb of Melbourne, Australia on 3rd July 1943. She took her mum's maiden name (Durham) when began her singing career. She suffered from a chronic degenerative lung disease, bronchiectasis, from the age of 4 years after suffering a bout measles. R.I.P Judith.
@@petershelverton9277 Yes Peter I did know that she was born in Australia - but I edited from a longer post. Edited post to what it meant to say. Thanks for letting me know.
it begins with "The first people (Aboriginals)" then on to colonisation with the prison ships from England, then the settlers, immigrants etc
👋hey..I joined your family..I enjoy doing reactions as well..RIP to that lady. She had a beautiful voice.
Yow yow yow! Here catching up.💚🇯🇲
RIP Judith. As they always say she ain’t nothing but a number bc her vocals are on point and she has a strong voice as well. TFS
R.I.P Judith 🕊 such beautiful voice.

Thanks for sharing ❤️❤️❤️
Check out their 25 th reunion ( silver Jubilee concert) It’s on CZcams
He is singing of the Ledgends of his country, Waltzing Matilda , Clancy on his horse. I don't know these ledgends.
Ok, Waltzing Matilda, is the song guys sang when walking from place to place looking for work, we call it Waltzing and Matilda’s are sheep, which those guys often pinched and ate. Clancy is from our poet Banjo Patterson, Clancy of the overflow.
The first verse they are talking about is about the Australian Aboriginal then about the convicts that came to Australia
This was a very good react bro 👍🏾☘️☘️☘️
This beautiful song reflects upon our history and all that have come and settled here! Unlike AMERICA 🇺🇸 We don’t Segregate, Divide or Define our Citizens. There’s enough RACISM in the world 🌎 and lije the REST of the world 🌎 we don’t SPEAK racism to a persons face! Once you are a citizen of this country regardless of your culture, race or creed, U R AUSTRALIAN! That’s it full stop 🛑 AMERICA 🇺🇸 has NORMALISED racism of their own citizens and it’s disgusting when we at this point in time be “Phasing” such disgusting behaviour OUT! Just saying!!!
You don't have to live in Australia to be considered an Aussie. If you are a Modest, Down To Earth, Open, Warm Friendly Person we'll be happy to Adopt you as an Honorary Aussie. In general as Adults we will say "Hello!" to anyone or stop to talk with them. We simply will not tolerate Offensive Behaviour, Racism or Bigotry in Australia. If we See or Hear someone behaving like that they will get into a lot of trouble. They will receive a Dirty Look or a Stern Talking To.
I'd like to to think most of us were like that
Nice reaction bro and keep them coming
Thanks 💯
Yes they are prisoners that was shipped to Australia they wanted to get rid of them so down under took them gave them hope a better life
Prisoners of Great Britain we sent to Australia and there was indigenous tribes called aborigines. They were dark skinned, some had blue eyes and some were little people.
Yes I married one of the true first Australians
@@madalynbelzowski6884 prisoners from england, not gb
New subscriber here learning. Sorry am late
We are one (NATION), But we are many (Individuals), and from all the lands on earth we come. You name the country, they live here. Religions too. We don't have Race, we have Nationality. AUSTRALIAN regardless of colour.
Brilliant....come on over
Judith Durham
♥♥♥
This is a history lesson
Judith Durham mate 😊!
Each verse is different but they all can be summarised as being a part of Australia - from the aborigines, the convicts, the land itself, the artists whether painting artists or musical artists, bushrangers, migrants - just a wide variety added into the verses. Don't try and analyse it too much.
Okay 👋🏻
Hi bro new friend hope you around thumbs up
Thanks for coming
Judith Durham would be in her 70's I think....
Would have been ❤️😢😢😢
She’s gifted ❤️🕊
A land of indigenous peoples of the oldest surviving culture on the planet and of convicts who came to the country in prison ships , who now do not number much more than 25 million, hasn't done too bad.
Hi bro, hope you are well, I am waiting for your reply. please check your mail.
Resend that mail
@@mdreacts OK. please check your mail.
No mate. They’re singing about white prisoners
