  • Hi everyone! Today Dmitry Peskov announced that the version that named the events in Magnitogorsk a terrorist attack, were rumors. It is a mere coincidence, that today we decided to release our film about the explosion in Magnitogorsk and all the people related to it. We carried out the investigation a year ago - we started it on January 8. Now, a year later, we went back to the city where the tragedy happened and met with people who were the part of all that. We have no doubt that it was a terrorist attack. But a more interesting question is why the authorities hide it. We also tried to answer it in our film. We told about those who blew up the building and the way they did it. But also, we told and vividly demonstrated how we got the information and how we worked on the spot. The heroes of the story are journalists as well. Those who, despite being hated by everyone, continued to find and provide people with real information. REFERENCE: An explosion in a residential building in Magnitogorsk occurred on the New Year’s Eve, on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 6:08 a.m. local time. As a result of the explosion, the whole section no. 7 of a ten-floor residential building no. 164 in Karl Marx street partially collapsed. It caused the death of 39 people. The causes of the explosion as of December 2019 had not been officially announced. According to the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center, on January 10, 2019, 98% of Russians knew about the explosion. The building is located in 164 Karl Marx street. The building is a 10-floor residential building with built-in and attached public spaces. It consisted of 6 blocks, 12 sections in total. The block sections are separated from each other by expansion joints. At the time the disaster happened, 133 people lived in the section that was destroyed. The explosion occurred on the third floor. As a result, 35 apartments were completely destroyed, 10 more - partially destroyed. The main collapse occurred on the left side of section no. 7, the debris formed a blockage up to the third or fourth floors.
On the right side of the section, most of the structures survived. A large number of building constructions got loose, that created a threat that the building would keep destroying further. All that added difficulties to search and rescue operations, did not allow using the necessary equipment. In the first hours after the explosion, 18 people were evacuated, 3 people were rescued alive, including 1 child. On that day canine teams, airmobile groups, specialists from the “Centrospas” and “Lider” detachments, as well as the psychologists were involved. Later they assessed the technical condition of the building. By the end of the day, 86 people had been evacuated, 5 people had been rescued, and 4 dead bodies had been found. On January 1, 2019, the operation continued. At 5 p.m., after 35 hours in the cold, 10-month-old Ivan Fokin was found alive. He was taken to the hospital with multiple injuries. Since the beginning of the operation, 20 people were pulled from the wreckage: 6 of them were alive (including 2 children) and 14 dead (including 1 child). By the end of the day, on January 2, 2019, other 14 corpses (including 3 children) were pulled from the wreckage. On January 3, 2019, the number of victims increased to 39 people (including 6 children).
