There is literally 1 tank that is within 0.3 br of it and its the type 16.Type 90 jumps up to 11.0 and the type 74 are 9.0. On a funnier note this thing is more survivable than it looks cause it literally has 0 armor.

in real life the top tier radar missiles are automatically guided based on radar, not the saclos bullshit, but they have proportional lead like ir missiles do in war thunder and not the following lead stupid implementation that probably wont ever be fixed

The West has better AA systems than russia. But the 🐌 says that it is not within the limits, for example the Patriot has 4 units and gaijin doesnt accept that. And I am not saying that patriot should be added, I just used it as an example. Sorry for my english, im from Slovenia.

@@silent_j6198 actually the missile would be much stronger with the dual seeker so it’s technically a nerf right now. Currently if you fire in contrast mode and someone dives for the deck it’ll probably lose lock because of the terrain, but irl it would automatically switch to IR to maintain the lock. (This is probably not an issue irl as it’s a very modern contrast/ir missile but thats how it contrast works in wt) The only nerf would be that it wouldn’t be 100% flare resistant like in optical mode because in terminal flight it switches to IR but this thing has such good irccm i doubt it’d be an issue

This is where a course change from the defending plane could defeat it. Then once it closed in to X distance from target it would activate it's seeker and use contrast/IR mode to track? That's why I thought it is currently buffed, because inertial guidance can be defeated easily by changing course before it begins seeking. Unless I'm mis-understanding how this missile works IRL
@@silent_j6198 in very basic terms, too my knowledge it acquires a target and launches in contrast mode and then once it is in range of IR guidance it switches over for the terminal portion of flight.
It can still go for flares but it's rare since beyond 6km it's almost guaranteed to use it's photo contrast mode on anything higher than tree level, and within 6km it's close enough to have a smaller fov and just not see the flares.
It still suck against helis failing to lock them even from 2.4km. Basically stat card again as usual is a big fat lie and helis magically as usual enjoy being un-lockable😂 even on clear sky. So not really big improvement and striela have better navigation algoritm near ground than it. Overall, isn't bad but any heli being low is gonna to buttstuff you without giving you chance to defend.

I’m only asking for it to be possible, and it was hard enough with the Pantsir alone. Especially with the Tornado, which usually isn’t manoeuvrable enough to dodge anything anyway. One of the only viable strategies left when you can’t dodge is just to stay out of range, and there’s only one type of weapon it has that makes that possible. The other strategy was to fly low to avoid being locked onto, then essentially carpet bomb the battlefield with drag bombs, but that strategy is no longer an option if you’re facing Japan.
stand off weapons from high alt if you have them, if not try to engage from unsuspecting angles. Most 81 players are gonna be staring at the plane/heli spawn so try and move away from it as soon as possible. It doesn’t have a radar so if you can, come in from an angle they won’t expect. that’s basically the only way i die to planes, being snuck up on or out ranged.

the dual seeker isn’t modeled in game, you can only fire in IR or Contrast mode and there’s no switching once it’s in flight
