- I bought a 2007 Saturn Sky Redline for $4,500 a couple years ago. Gabe bought it after that and has been daily driving it since. The turbo decided it didn't want to keep doing spinny magic after that, so he bought a kit to upgrade it along with everything to install it (well sort of). RPM Motorsports is updating the kit to include some or possibly all of the gaskets needed for the install so you'll want to decided what all you need for your install. It likely won't be all of these parts. Huge shoutout to them for listening to our feedback and trying to make this easier for the end user. Should be smooth sailing for you!

As someone who has worked in news for nearly 2 decades. It has always frustrated me how a company will do something to someone and then refuse to work with them to fix it. Then they call the news and we do a story calling attention to the problem. All of a sudden everyone is working with each other.

My sister has one of those cars. She has serviced it religiously and it has almost 200,000 California highway miles on it. It's been a great car for her and it's surprisingly quick too. Hers is Sunburst Yellow and you can see that thing coming from a mile away.

A roofing company should have copper flashing in 12" wide rolls and could cut you off a
foot. That might be worth checking out if you need to make a copper gasket in the future.

I have to admit that after watching that 1st video I was thinking; oh-oh (It was posted to a few different FB Kappa Groups). So it's good to know that a positive outcome took place over your feedback. Someone in my neighborhood was selling what appears to the same Redline and I really considered buying it but he wanted all the money plus so I just had to walk away. Now I see Gabe cruising around and really wish I bought it.

I am here commenting to help you John Ross.
You should never delete a video, and reupload a second version.
Why?
Because the engagement on that new video will be lower, and CZcams will consequently lowers your ability to showcase your video on the home page and suggestions.
This will reduce your ability to earn new subscribers.
My advice is to reach out to companies before the video gets out, searching for an answer, and only release the video either after they get back to you, or after a week or so go by.
I leaved this video playing, liked it, and commented it to help you.
But not everyone will do that.
Thus, my advice is not to delete a video, and never reupload a new version of the same video.

Wished there was a follow up on a dyno to see the RWHP numbers. The shop I go to did a factory stock Solstice GXP and it did close to 265 if you round up the numbers

The red tubes add 10HP because they are “red”. But if you had just polished the stock tubes to a mirror finish it would have added 20HP. Just saying.

Probably I was living under rock I didn’t know those Pontiac’s had ecotec turbo
They have two engine platforms- the 2.0 turbo (LNF) and the 2.4 NA (LNK?).
I’m confused. If you need the whole shopping list and they ‘fixed the kit’ did they add everything you guys put on the list or just the one copper gasket you needed and had to make.
Great question! We assume it means that they include ALL gaskets and o rings. Don’t know for certain, though.
you probably found out that the "big wheel" turbo doesn't add any HP. all it does is stop the high rpm fall off the stock one does. The additional hp you got was from the tune and the tune alone. You could have gotten the extra ponies without replacing the turbo
I have Trifecta "Budget Tune" installed in my Solstice GXP. They had a sale on the tune plus special cable ($200 total) I still have stock intake and exhaust so just tune by itself. The best $200 I ever spent. Supposed to add 40 ponies but feels like more 💪 (perhaps way more torque). Pressing the master cruise control button also selects between OEM tune and new tune so just by pushing a button it's more power on demand. 👍 Had mine 7 years so far and only failure has been the turn signal stalk. So tune, frame braces, upgraded tires and it totally transformed the car into best bang o buck sports car on the planet IMHO but prices keep rising so get them while you can.
