      There are certainly a lot of weird and wonderful things when it comes to reproductive organs.
      And also several horrifying things, like that one species of bug or something that literally stab their parts into a female's abdomen, rather than use the already existing hole.

    I think out of all biologists arachnologists give the funniest names to species, a while ago I saw a species called Papuamyr omhifosga, "omhifosga" being an acronym for "Och, my head is full of spider genitalia" which I imagine is a common problem for arachnologists.

      Maybe the females with shorter tracks end up forced to have a clutch in bad conditions when a male by passes the storage system. Thus the spiders with shorter tracks get picked off sooner than the females that can choose the fertilization date.

    i really like the way you explain it, it's concise but entertaining, and the casual setting makes it more memorable for me. something about someone talking about something they're interested in makes me interested in it too. if you ever wanna make more videos like this i think you should, these are great.
