After years of going fishing in Baja, I finally said no more! I had a boat cut loose, A cop got some $$$ from me on a trumped-up charge, A federally with a machine gun pointed at me during a drug inspection, Poor roads to travel on, language barrier, too far from medical or garage help, and it takes hours to get back across the border. And much more!

Feeling safe somewhere is different for every individual, right?
Don't this, don't do that, don't go here, don't drink that. Be aware of cops, and gangs, especially in rural areas, other than that it's all good.😕
These precautions apply to anyone traveling outside of their home country. Inexperienced travelers aren't always aware of this, so it's just a kind reminder.

The amount of stress and preparation required ...so not worth going there
It's not for everyone to do alone. If all the planning is overwhelming, there are a lot of companies who guide folks down and help support the journey. The downside is that they can be quite costly, but the benefit is that guests just have to show up.
