Sorry but it’s hard to appreciate a review without you actually HAVING a pair of the new buds to review. I understand your reasoning but all the reviews I’ve seen actually have a pair of them to compare them with the old ones.
I have them, I’ve had them before public release. Check my channel for a review and comparison to the AirPod pro 2 usb c

Love their ANC and comfort, but until Bose fixes the nightmare connectivity issues, I won't buy another pair. I have the QCII, but I bought the Sony XM5 just because the connection is so much better and the ANC is good on those too. If I could have the comfort and ANC of Bose, the reliable multipoint connection of Sony, and the mic/sound/volume quality of Airpods, that would be the perfect earbud for me.
I agree with you 100% Bose bud shape and Sony feature reliability = perfect product.
I just bought the QC2 earbuds several months ago and I love them. I don’t see a reason to upgrade to the Ultra earbuds other than the spacial audio but don’t think I need to spend another $300 just for that. Any opinions?
At the moment it’s just a shiny new coat of paint that seems to be the upgrade. Stay tuned though gonna get m6 hands on a pair shortly.
@@Fredo.heavyythats absolutely wrong
@@florianpeter7045 is it wrong? That’s the only physical perceivable change made. You could argue update internal give you x% better sound BUT I’m guessing you don’t have them in hand rn
@@Fredo.heavyy maybe you should do an update
Powerful but your right, lazy fake cash grab upgrade
It's unfortunate because they don't have a lot of R&D to do
completely agree. more than that, I would add that it is the earbud 2 with a software 'upgrade', and I'm convince it is to settle the earbud2 fiasco (they Bose, know and acknowledge the numerous issues of connectivity, synch, one ear issue, etc, because they have a semi auto procedure to send back your earbud2 and they will send you back the ultra, so called brand new. i have the bad feeling that it could be the same device but with software upgrade/fix). it was my 1st time I bought an earbud, and first time I bought Bose, and for them this is the last time I guess. Better bet on solid, sure value with very low risk of malfunction or disappointment, I think of Sony xm5 and the other main ones, as for Bose: never again
Those bose ultra just look so cool, sleek and futuristic. I cant lie. Imo they the besr looking buds i done seen and they got those wings. I probably get em since i didn't get the qc buds2
Don't be fooled by the paint job, you can do better for $300. Unless you're just using them at your desk it a No for me
@@Fredo.heavyy truck driver bruh bruh
@@DRex45 make a search about earbud2 issues and rma, you will be surprised and it will make you think twice before going for it. the ultra is the exact same as the earbud2, only few software features separate them, all the rest is like a clone. I would go for sony, jabra, or seinnheiser
I have the qc ii, tried the new ultra for 3 weeks and sent them back. In my opinion, not worth the upgrade.
Yea, such a cash grab especially for holiday season coming up.
I heard the ANC is on the Ultra is better than the quiet comfort II. So far bose earbuds have been working out for me, so I will give them a buy since I prioritize ANC over everything else.
However the Status 3ANC and the Jabra Elite 10 are also on my list after I get the bose.
I’ve reviewed the status and waiting on the Jabra elite 10. If you prioritize ANC and don’t go running in a thunderstorm like me. Bose ultra is a solid choice
I want to see a comparison with the xm5
Not even a competition, Sony wins on all categories against Bose
@@Fredo.heavyy except maybe comfort? I want to specially see how they compare regarding ANC
@@Fredo.heavyywhy?
@@Fredo.heavyy not sure but maybe sony is able to connect to multiple sources, bose is not able. same for switching from one source to another one, it is archaic and it s a struggle. if you do some sport or swift head movement, the audio can un-synch (left or right), or even the Bluetooth can disconnect. bose earb2 has been a nightmare experience for me and seems many other people ( see on reddit many who had to rma theirs and got the ultra in exchange)
The only difference in Bose new and old is spatial audio. Chapter closed
That seems to be the case, trying to figure out this supposed wireless charging case accessory people keep mentioning
I’m never trusting your review if you don’t have it
Id trust me, half my channel is reviewing every major earbud and I’ll drop a proper review of the Ultra soon, stay tuned
If you primarily listen to music, buy the Bose quiet comfort 2. They sound excellent and the noise cancelling is the best. The Apple airpod pro 2 also sound good but nowhere near the Bose.
Yeah I agree with you in this video. Less than year now than came out with new QC2. Ultra They could do that with Firmware update.
They keep dragging old tech instead of innovation
Wrong, you need sensors for the spatial audio
@@florianpeter7045 you can emulate spatial audio with software
I switched from sony mx4 to qc2 due to having issues with the left ear, it basically stopped working after about 6 moths. I was very happy with the bose I until I learned about the poor Bluetooth connectivity issues, the buds basically disconnect constantly from the app and you literally have to put the earbuds back inside the case to see if next time you take them out, they connect to the app.
Edit:
I also hate the non off ANC option. I it makes the buds use more battery that ne necessary.
We need something like apples adaptive mode is really good
Going to pick up the new AirPods Pro USB C later today, interested to see how "adaptive" it is
For me adaptive just has anc at 100% at all times
For me the worst thing is the lack of multipoint connectivity, by far
This is the most egregious omission from Bose
I see what you are saying but I have no need for Off mode, NC and Transparent are good enough for me. QC II were the very best noise cancelling and other reviewers are saying the noise cancelling on the Ultra is even better. That is most important to me.
It's the principle that for $300 you're getting a product artificially limited and stripped of basic features. If you don't need off mode or wireless charging that's fine BUT were can agree labeling it "ULTRA" is dishonest on Bose part.
@@Fredo.heavyy again you may not consider it ultra because it doesn't have off mode and doesn't have wireless charging and I consider it ultra because its noise cancelling is far superior to all other earbuds. I think both positions are valid, it depends on what each person values most.
Yea i also think NC is most important thats why i will order a pair and test them and if it’s not justifiable stick to my qc2, luckily bose is nice enough to offer 90 day test period
Review the new Marshall Motif Anc II - looks awesome , has good specs
I've just ordered a pair of those.😅
I'll check it out, their products aren't usually on my radar
Let me know if they're worth picking up
@@Fredo.heavyy Sure, I'm expecting them to arrive sometime this week.
Ok I have them and tried them out. The design is typical Marshall and I like it, the case has a nice quality feel to it, a nice rubbery texture but in a good way. The earbuds have an app with plenty of features; A.N.C, custom EQ, Transparency mode with a slider to fine tune it, a battery protection mode; that doesn't let it charge over 90% and you can turn this off if you wish to.
Over all, I'm happy with them, my only gripe is, I wish they went a little louder.
I would recommend these.
Give the technics Az80 a chance!!! I think you might like it
I’m supposed to get a pair sent to me but the brand is slacking
Wireless Charging missing is a bummer I had the wxm5 and they have it
Yea idk what they were thinking and then selling a wireless charging case accessory for $50
Why there isn't an off setting to these things is insane
Honestly one of my biggest gripes. They say and I’ve tested making a custom mode as “commute” with low level anc enabled
@@Fredo.heavyy problem is, these things amplify wind noise in any setting, even reduced wind noise setting.. so you can't use them on a motorcycle, bike, boat, windy day etc.
It's my biggest complaint as well and there's no excuse for it. They do turn off when you take them out of your ear or put them in the case so the code is there...
@maximusjoseppi5904 I know what you mean, same affect when in running across bridge in nyc.
If you’re in the return period I’d do that and go with Technics AZ80 or maybe the upcoming Sennheiser momentum 4 CWS
@@Fredo.heavyy thank you for the suggestions!
What brand and model are your glasses? I want to order a pair
The company went out of business, they were called “HeyWear”
Can you give your thoughts on Jabra Elite 7 Active
I didn't have a good experience with Jabra Active line, didn't fit my ears and aware mode had lots of white noise. Check my channel I have a review
hello i dont know which earbud to get that has amazing anc and sound and everything im thinking to buy the sonys wf100xm5 earbuds and i have small ears
What kind of device are you using? Android or iPhone? The new AirPod pros with usb c would be my choice for Apple and if you want something different. Tozo Golden X1 or SoundPeats Mini Pro HS Ultra
i use android and i think the xm5s are the best for android and for people with small ears
I was hoping Bose would make them a but smaller than earbuds 2, but instead they made a but larger. Maybe this is why they called them "Ultra". I was about to order a pair but when I heard that there is no wireless charging, I passed and went with the Sennheiser Momentum TW3. I wouldn't be getting the same level of noise cancelling that the QC offers, but I am pretty sure the the Sennheiser MTW 3 sound will sound better. I think Bose is copying Apple strategy when it comes to incremental product releases...
I reviewed the Momentum TW3 on my channel, they're not a bad options by any stretch. I wasn't aware the Bose buds are larger, I'll have too check the specs on that one.
I had them both and bose is better than sennheiser
@@florianpeter7045 I couldn’t get over the cloth case of the Sennheiser, but yea I’d rank Bose higher
Bro you mic sounds tuned is it post precessed audio?
I’ve changed a lot about my audio chain, some post processing for sure going on
Do you have any videos on mic set up?
I didn't really like the sound of the II's (compared to the Sennheiser MTW3) and I was first excited when I saw it pop up because I've used a lot of Bose products in the past and the ANC is amazing
But when I saw it had the same exact design I already knew the bass wasn't gonna be anything new/amazing (the thing I found lacking in the previous version) and this video just confirmed my thought
Glad my video helped you come to a resolution and confirmed what you knew.
Bro what😂 the bass inn the qc2 is by far the best, you can even up it in the Eq unlike some other devices cough apple cough
@@florianpeter7045 maybe for you? But have you tried the Tozo Golden X1 with its 12mm drivers? Order a pair and let me know what you think
He didn't try the buds!

Did you try it?
Will try once they generally release
They actually put wireless charging
Watch some more reviews, all report say no wireless charging BUT allegedly they’re seeking an additional charging case accessories
Apple watch ultra is titanium not stainless steel
You’re correct but also driving my point
WAIT. So you don't own the earbuds? 2:25
Why are we even listening to this anyway?
I do own them, but you're watching cause I've tested every major release this year. stay tuned for first impressions or check out unboxing on my CZcams short: czcams.com/users/shortsi4XLYIqHfT0?si=nl-_n-bZzPdqpTbF
No earbuds on hand, no review.
We hold these truths to be self evident. Stay tuned gonna get my hands on a pair before official release date 👍🏽
Noise cancelling is bad for 2. First gen is better
Holy shit man. You haven’t even tried them? Take this video down and put it back up once you’re more well informed. What are you doing?
To be fair I’ve tried almost every major headphone release of 2023, spec sheet don’t lie and neither do I

Wow just wow I shared this video with a million people and now they are not going to buy the ultras congrats man
Bruh!
@@Whoopie2016 this guy with his 500 subscribers and I are going to bankrupt Bose lol
You’re pushing rookie numbers
@@Fredo.heavyy man I have been sharing your video with everyone at time square your views should be insane right now . I even got a call from Bose begging me to stop , they promised to give a review unit to you and one for me to keep
In short (and it's not even sure), the only new product of this new line is the Bose Ultra headphone 🤔
The other 2 is just the Qc45 and Qc 2 earbuds with new colors.
It's really an insult to those who bought the previous models, instead of doing the necessary software updates to fix existing problems, Bose just brings out the same products with new colors, and really tries to make people believe that these are new products, and you have to pay $50 more for a case to have wireless charging, bul*&hit 🤬
Even Apple isn't that dishonest.
Ps: The Bose QC 2 earbuds have a Qualcomm processor and are therefore capable of having the Snapdragon sound and multipoint, but no, Bose is not ready to activate it by an update 🤦🏽♂️
You're 100% right, they should release these feature as a curtsey to their customer. Bose is almost as bad as Sony when it comes to with holding features and capabilities of products.
@@Fredo.heavyy Personally, I will never recommend a Bose product again.
Warum sind die hier 50€ teurer man, bose ist deutsch 😡
