"SYLPHIDE" And "SERPENT FLAG" Are Simply OVERRATED!

- in this video, we will discover my rant (sorry) about the two S-tier skins that were made available this month, which is "SYLPHIDE", the S-Tier skin for Female Dancer, and the "SERPENT FLAG", the S-Tier skin for Antiquarian. Note that this is purely my opinion, and not intended to insult anyone. I just wanna share my thoughts.

I know people will disagree with me on this, but Sylphide looks style wise better Kroto which is more sexy and revealing. At least Dancer has shorts in Sylphide where as Kroto is not covering anything in the front.
And for Shiyi I don't see anything wrong with a woman being masculine. Wonder Woman, Mulan, Spider Woman, Superwoman are beautiful feminine and masculine. That doesn't mean that they have to take the male roles from the guys. Why can't a woman be beautiful and strong in appearance and not need arm and hammer muscles 💪?

Of course there’s nothing wrong with shiyi being “strong”, the problem is when the skins for her look overly masculine, in my opinion she can be both feminine and strong, she doesn’t need to be extremely feminine but it feels like it isn’t her when u actually know how the character is supposed to be, elegant, strong, feminine and slightly serious (at least from what the bai ze event told us about her)
I actually quite like dancer’s huge rose. However, what made me ultimately not buy the skin is how it’s placed- it’s like the rose is hanging by a thread or some velcro🗿 if it blended in better with her skirt, or was framed by smaller roses to make the look more seamless, I think it would’ve been much better

In my opinion I like that qi is not so feminine, it is outdated that a woman has to be feminine and that is fine
I agree, considering that Qi Shiyi was an ex assasin she wasn't problably hyperfemenine, some characters like female dancer and Fiona are way more for a style like that, while others aren't which is a great choice that shows difference between characters

@@SilminaIDV Yes, her skin is fine, but in Chinese culture sometimes they prefer strength, a clear example is Mulan, but strength can go hand in hand with femininity, as Nobara from Jujutsu Kaisen would say.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who's bothered by the absolutely HUGE rose.
It seems forced and, idk, just not proportional. They should at least make several small flowers instead of one, big one
I feel like it's ok to have diversity with qi shiyi's skin as she has been trough changes in life, especially considering her assasin career, she wasn't probably the most femenine girl while the other s skin bai zhe is more near to her latest occupation, I feel like they are all elegant, for different situations, since lion dancers can't really use skirts and be hyperfeminine, same goes for Mulan, a warrior and not an antiquarian
Yeah, it's okay because everyone has their own preference. Though, my preference is that Shiyi looks feminine and elegant

I main Dancer and I like her new skin. Its pretty and the acc are stunting. But same as you, the rose is distracting, its should either replace to her back or remove it. For the skirt, I don't really mind about its being too short, but maybe change her stocking from transparent to pinkish could fix it.
Imo I need the wings and the rose is distracting me soo much from kiting i can’t pay attention 😢
The main issue with the skin is indeed the rose. Fortunately I decided not to buy it right away. I'd rather wait for any more skin, if any

i have syphlide and i dont regret it at all considering that i main female dancer and i 100% recommend it, her boxes and chair animation even has roses! it looks even better w high graphics
Idk, i like Margie's skin, and with this big rose too. And Antiquarian's one even not playing her. Plus i started to like it even better after your example with Lu Buu😅 I dont really like stereotypes such as every woman has to be elegant and feminine/womanly. I dont like feminism too but im for example the woman that doesnt want to be "lady" or "princesse" at all, i want to be myself and i like many men's clothes and just simple clothes. So this type of skin like Serpent Flag makes me feel calm inside with something closed to freedom or smth.
What can i say about Margie's skin. The dress style is really meh but all her skin design i find really cute and beautiful to me. She's like little fairy or fairy keeper. The roses dont make her elegant or smth but despite it im glad that my main Margie finally get her S skin(except her permanent, i liked it but i liked old design better).

I love antiquarian but i dont like the S skin that much because it felt too much yet lacks S worthy effects, it does look S tier worthy but looks a bit lackluster for a CNY limited S, but if i could i would still buy it only because its limited 😭

I do agree with the huge rose 😭 but I'm such a hard-core Margie lover that I couldn't pass up on bc the fairies are SO cute, I just love how they dance around her and then occasionally hug! I also love how the skirt bounces when she emotes as well.

I do like Margie’s skin but now that I really think about it the flower is way too huge for my liking, the skins still pretty though, as for Antis skin it’s just not something I would buy, I guess I shouldn’t be too sad about not having enough fragments. I don’t main FD and I don’t even own Antiquarian so yay ig.

One thing i want to add as hunter main: this skins are VERY pay to lose. Not just you become visible as heck from the distance, but I can also see outline of their effects through the walls and know exactly where are you going/standing, so it becomes much harder for survs to get away or create distance through mind games
I got dancers skin because I play her. I don’t play antiquarian but I’m going to get the skin because it’s limited and I never got her limited s-tier when she arrived in the game :v

I don’t mind a skin being masculine for a girl. There’s nothing wrong with a more tomboyish skin once in a while! That’s cool. But serpent flag just looks ugly. The hair thing looks weird especially.

OMGGG LITTERALY ME !! I was so ready to buy anti but before doing so I decided to give myself 3 days to think it over and at the end I decided not too not only because I don't really use anti but also the skin looks kinda awkward honestly... the dragon thing on her head looks quite weird honestly if maybe instea of having the ends with different colors it would be anti's natural hair maybe it woulda better? Either way I realized soon enough the only reason I ""wanted"" the skin is because it's ✨Limited✨ I probably wouldn't even use it lol

For me I had 48k saved up . I ended up getting acro package and only the limited anti acc . Her limited skin felt too busy and it wasn’t that good for me . The acc was pretty good because it helps u see when the hunter is stunned .
Hmm as for me I still saved up some fragments because I kinda hope for a better skin
its asymmetry + large size was too much for me, if it was on her lower back i think it'd've been fine, the accessory is really nice on both looks/effects all the same
for anti i think it's just a bit too visually intense for me and i have two anti skins i utterly adore anyway (crow + coa) 5:34 but serpent/mulan are certainly dynasty warriors as fuff ye lol

but ye either sans the rose or rose in a more aesthetic location or just not megarose and i'd prol buy it, it's just too excessive for me
both skins are beautiful but I've decided to not buy them as well! Mainly because i don't play FD or Anti.
Sylphide is definitely extremely femenine and dainty, but to be honest the only wow factor of this skin is the two fairies that interact depending on what animation the survivor is doing, and that's it.
Whereas for Serpent's Flag, i just find it EXTREMELY cluttered. Gold and red are beautiful combinations and I love the flag's design! But the embroidery that was put into this, specially on the chest part i find extremely unflattering, and the golden shoulder decorations are too extra for me. So too flamboyant? Yes.
And maybe a little too masculine? But what bothers me most is mostly the aforementioned.
overall i wasn't really drawn to any of these skins, as usual. I'm hoping to see more original outfits in upcoming updates

All in all, I LOVE serpent flag, however I wished that they made her hair long to make her look more elegant, The skin itself is beautiful with the effects and design and i appreciate it alot, But its still awkward to look at her short hair :// reminds me of her Mulan skin which i personally dislike… because of the short hair 😭

Meh, I agree with the dress being too short, but I still love pink, and for Serpent Flag, I never liked it, it has too much going on so not even the fact of it being limited will make me buy it

Hiiii sooo i did fashion at university and from a textile pov the skirt is made of a lightweight flowy fabric and when you think of a rose u dont really sense or think of light weight. Maybe if. It was a waterfall. Of smaller rose petals woulda been a good idea adorned with a belt with a rose on. The side where the petals would flow from but the. Full big rose looks too hard and doesnt go with it. I think the skirt length is ok length bc it is supposed to be like a thumbelina/ pixie vibe but i do see why people can see why the skin isnt modest. It is showing a lot of skin so thats probs why they added the flower decals on the legs and arms. I also think it’s too similar to mechanics showing the same colour pallet and the 1 rose on the dress. I don’t think it’s worth it tbh. The accessory is tho I think it boarders S tier with the effect it gives off and also it looks pretty. Now antiquarian, I think it looks good but honestly I feel like this was the mulan skin that they made for deduction star and thought no let’s make it the CNY skin and add dragon bits to make it seem like that such as the headpiece and the staff along with the accessories on the skin. I feel like deduction star mulan skin was rushed bc it just came out randomly and the colours of it isn’t really a mulan vibe. Don’t get me wrong it is nice but the colour pallet was too similar to her music look and bai ze. What I think is they didn’t wanna use red for mulan because if it did it woulda looked like a rank down from this skin and they obvs wanted to use it for CNY. Similarly to the fall postman skin. Ok my analysis over have a nice day 😂

i actually agree that they are overrated but disagree on some details
i feel like margie’s doesn’t change much to be considered an S tier, the stockings are beautiful but the dress is so simple (and yes, could be longer, and yes again the rose is too big.) maybe if the rose was attached to her shoulder or waist by the back?
serpent flag is just. boring to me. i know most of qi’s skins reflect her culture but they do tend to look rather similar when compared. i don’t have a problem with her being ‘masculinized’ i think it rather fits her well actually, but they could implement it better i think. mulan is just… odd to look at. serpent flag’s headpiece is too big as well. the flag looks stiff when she spins the stick as well…
I think it is better to replace the one big rise into two or three smaller roses. As for Shiyi, well I'd prefer her to be more feminine but it's okay, since everyone has their own preference. The dragon headpiece is too big, I agree, and Mulan is just, well, idk. Maybe too plain? It's kinda meh (and I couldn't really describe it lol my bad)
I got anti’s skin because I main her and wasn’t able to get her essence limited. But in all honesty it isn’t the best skin. Priestess cny skin was sm better imo

For me personally, Anti skin made her look more manlier than feminine. If only they make another chinese male survivor with similiar skill like Anti and make him wear something these "warrior" type of outfit it fit more better. It's like they tryna make her look manly more and more with latest skin. I get that Mulan skin is suppose to make her look like a man cuz its accurate to the story

I feel like the reason why the dress is short here is because of her twirl ability. Perhaps Netese is unsure on how to properly animate a long skirt on Dancer when she is doing the twirl and made the skirt short for practical reasons. And about the shorts…I don’t know, maybe that’s just a pair of short pants?
I literally bought antiquarian's skin just for the limited tag. The skin look really awful and doesn't have a lot of effect for a S limited skin.
I'd save it and see if NE will add another design later lol
