  • We finally start our Cape York Adventure and start off by finding a campsite near the Normanby River in the Lakefield National Park. On the way we visit some incredible Aboriginal Rock Art at the split rock site.
We thought we have escaped the extensive and seemingly never ending rains but as always not everything goes to plan.
Watch as we explore amazing campsites along 12 mile section, fish and find some amazing lagoons and river stretches.

The intake sock is not really a good idea.
    There are many counter issues.
Increasing fuel consumption for starters as it is a permanent added restriction.
Best to keep a few mins between cars and have a free flowing intake, which people pay a lot of money to have.
99% of the time it is getting clean air anyway. It’s only going to work 1% of the time when driving behind people. It will however restrict airflow and power 100% of the time. The air-filter should take care of that itself. The air-filter has a huge filter surface. The sock has a tiny filter surface and would clog quickly increasing fuel consumption even more!.
Probably best to look after the existing air cleaner.
    PS: Great vids. 👍

Yep, just stick to the right as you drive in from the ranger station. There are heaps of sites and from memory, there is reception at the ranger station. Have fun 🤙

@@goldyandrobbo6540 should be no problem, there is a big dip going to site 7-9. stay well away from the waters edge, a local got taken there just weeks before we got there. I would also recommend Hann crossing, site 13 an epic site not to far from there. Should be on one of our videos too 😀
