- In this short video I try to put my finger on the single FATAL flaw underlying all modern interpretations of "Bible Prophecy" that plot a countdown of events leading up to the end of the World. The key is a historical reading and understanding of the texts in their original time and contexts. This is particularly the case with the books of Daniel and Revelation. They must be read in the light of events from the Maccabees through the end of the 2nd Revolt in the early 2nd century CE.

The 2300 days of Daniel 8:11-13 wherein the army of the "little horn" stops the daily prayers by tearing down the western wall, BEGAN on SHAVUOT,15 Sivan 5995 aka June 3, 2018 and (could) COUNT OUT on Yom Teruah, 1 Tishri, 6001 aka September 19, 2024, if you use the correct Enoch Calendar.

now that I think of it I've never heard any priest at church or tv in my country ever say something specific or falsifiable. only talk about sin and guilt and vague subjective concepts like that. this must be strategic. keep it vague and you can never be wrong.
The thing about fundamentalists is that they are willing to twist and contort any information to suit their own pre-existing belief system that was taught to them by their church and their community. They don't do proper textual analysis based off of the type of writing such as an apocalyptic story or what the idioms that might be referenced during said story could be referring to within proper cultural context. To them it can mean whatever they want it to mean.
That's how you know you're dealing with dishonest people it's that they're willing to manipulate information to be able to get their way.
Always interesting and Thought-provoking. I like how you tie in ancient history with more contemporary concepts like quoting from events in world war II. You use multiple angles of circumspects which helps to filter through possible credulity. Thanks for your time.
How anyone can reconcile curiosity about the end times with 1 Thessalonians 5 is beyond me. If we can know anything about when it happens, it’s not a surprise and Paul is lying. If our Lord can’t surprise us, then He isn’t who He is. If the prophecy is there to let us know when the time will be, then it is useless. One of the things that I take away from reading prophecy is that the end is always nigh and the Kingdom is always at hand - there is no better time for being saved than the present moment.
@krisamico The apostle Paul did not say the coming of the Lord would be a surprise to Christians who are alert, who are walking in the light. The Lord's coming is only a surprise to those who are walking in darkness. In 2 Thessalonians 2 Paul elaborates in detail about two signs that will occur before the coming of our Lord and our gathering (resurrection/rapture) to him. We, people alive in 2024, are currently in the midst of the apostasy right now. The next sign to be looking for is the revealing of The Man of Lawlessness, and his taking the seat in not the Temple in Jerusalem. Remember Jesus said in Matthew 23:38 "See, your house is left to you desolate." This means the Temple in Jerusalem will not be completed before the Lord's return. Once the Jews get complete control of the Temple mount, they will attempt to rebuild the Temple, but they will not succeed because the Lord does not want anymore sacrifices for sin. Jesus' sacrifice on the Cross was the final sacrifice. The High Priest going into the Holy of Holies and sacrificing on the Day of Atonement, after Jesus had already been sacrificed once and for all, was the Abomination that caused Desolation. Daniel's 70th week has already taken place just like Daniel prophesied. There is another Temple of God and my suspicion is that it is located in Rome, the largest Temple in the world. Don't be confused, the Man of Lawlessness in 2 Thessalonians 2 is not the Antichrist/Beast mentioned in Revelation 19. The MOL and the Antichrist have two different functions, two different characters, and are taken out in two different ways altogether. Another sign to be looking for is when Israel takes complete control of all of Jerusalem, including the Temple mount. This will be a sign that the age of the Gentiles trampling Jerusalem underfoot is now completed.

Or, and this is just a hypothesis, perhaps those texts in the Gospels were written into the voice of Jesus as a way of reconciling why the end hadn't yet come despite its being "at hand".

Just for what it's worth, Heiser may have taught it (I'm know of him but am not that familiar with his work) but I believe it was Oscar Cullman who first really identified it and then George Eldon Ladd who really expanded on it in his The Presence of the Future and A Theology of the New Testament.

Raised in a Christian fundamentalist home where the end times was a big deal I lived in cognitive dissonance with the clear, constant interpretive twisting to make vague language work and applicable to changing current events.
First it was the USSR, then the EU, then Turkey, and first Roman Catholicism then Islam.
Decades of interpretive goalpost moving.
So happy I cast all that bunk aside, along with Christianity, religion, and theism.
I think it’s safe to say there is no meaning to any of our lives. Nobody wants to accept that.

The most fatal flaw of all these prophecies is that they are given with an explicit date, making them immediately debunked.
Quite the opposite. God has fulfilled almost all of them.

Prophesies are of the past but are intrepreted as future events to mislead people. Some prophesies repeat because some believe time is cyclical so what happened in the past repeats in some mysterious way in the future. When the god Nabu was asked what the future will be like his response was " The future will be like the past" because events repeat in cycles.
I’m going to lay this out in the order that I discovered it.
The first thing that caught my eye was Dr. Michael Heiser talking about Revelation 12 and how using the symbolism one could determine the day of Christ’s birth (11 Sep 3 BC), which is a Rosh Hashanah.
So, I decided to look for the next Rosh Hashanah that would occur on 11 Sep.
It turns out that the next one happens on 11 Sep 2056, 2058 years after His birth.
I started playing around with my calculator, much like I’ve been doing since my HS senior year. Side Note: This is how I found an easy way to calculate Pi to a highly accurate degree. (2143/22)^(1/4)
I always start by dividing even numbers by two to eventually find the factors.
2058/2=1029, 1029/3=343, 343/7=49, 49=7*7
Well, 7*7*(7*6) just jumps right out at me!!!
God the Father * Holy Spirit * (God the Son * Jesus the man)

Next, I read somewhere that Sir Isaac Newton had written a lot about Biblical subjects.
Somewhere, he had said that he couldn’t see Christ’s return being any later than 1260 years after the start of the Holy Roman Empire. How quaint.
He came up with 800+1260=2060.
I decided to use prophetic years of 360 days vice calendar years.
Charlemagne was crowned the 1st HRE on 25 Dec 800.
1260 prophetic years later is EXACTLY 24 Nov 2042.
That didn’t seem to be that special of date until I calculated the number of days between it and 11 Sep 2056.
There are 5040 days between those two dates.
5040/2=2520, 2520/2=1260 (WHAT?!?!)
It gets better!
5040=2*7*360
Well, we know what the last 7*360 days period is before the 2nd Coming but why would there be another 7*360 days period proceeding it???
18 Oct 2049 would be the start of the tribulation period.
I didn’t know what to make of this second 7*360 period, so I put it to the side, but I’m extremely intrigued, to say the least.

I felt like I needed to revisit this second 7*360 period, so I thought about the other highly significant Jewish Holy days.
I’ve touched on Rosh Hashanah, but what are the other days?
Well, Jesus was crucified on Passover. Check.
The only other one is Yom Kippur.
I looked up the seven Yom Kippur dates for the second 7*360 period.

1 Oct 2044
21 Sep 2045
10 Oct 2046
30 Sep 2047
17 Sep 2048
6 Oct 2049
None of these dates popped out at me.
So, I averaged them and came out with 1 Oct 2046.
Want to guess what Jewish Holy day that falls on?!?!

A Rosh Hashanah hidden among the seven Yom Kippurs that proceed the tribulation!
This is my current best guess for the Rapture.
I know that it’s highly speculative but I’m going with it until I find a better candidate.

After looking at a bunch of dates and calculations, I next looked at the birth date of modern Israel.
14 May 1948
I didn’t have a lot of luck with this date until I noticed that the US had moved its embassy to Jerusalem 70 years after the founding.
14 May 2018
Again, after playing with this date and numbers (usually revolving around numbers 3, 7, 21, 360), I found that there are EXACTLY 14,000 days between the moving of the embassy and 11 Sep 2056!
In all of these above calculations, there are way too many EXACTLYs.
Lastly, I still was contemplating why there were two 7*360 periods before I assumed the 2nd Coming of Christ and then it occurred to me that it related to the time, times, and half-of-time prophecies.
Half a time is the Great Tribulation period. 3.5*360
The time is the whole tribulation period. 7*360
The times are the two 7*360 periods. 14*360
It’s like a preview of the tribulation period but with the Rapture about halfway through it.
I’m guessing that the AC gains and then consolidates his power for roughly 3.5 years after the Rapture and the beginning of the tribulation.
Feel free to call the guys in white coats if you think it’s necessary!
I have a question if I could get you or someone to answer for me please. Why is it now saying the wolf shall lay beside the lamb? Because when I was growing up it was a lion not anywhere in the Bible had it said wolf!
08:10 I'm looking at Daniel 8 vv. 11ff... I'm not seeing how this is clearly reference by Luke 21: 24. Can someone explain how Luke is using Daniel 8?
He's saying the Luke 21:24 text is based upon the Book of Daniel chapter 8:12 wherein the "little horn's" army stops the sacrifices and casts down the sanctuary aka the western wall is how it could be defiled by Gentiles and then be vindicated.
My thinking is that within a period of 2300 days that began on Shavuot, June 3, 2018, wherein a kid goat was SACRIFICED as a sin offering and 2 male lambs were SACRIFICED as a peace offering, Leviticus 23:19 the 2300 days counting out when the "sanctuary is cleansed" it what could be on or about September 19/20, 2024.
Let's not lose track of the fact there are still about 120 days to the "cleansing". Could this Shavuot, June 3, 2024 be the fulfillment of Daniel 8:10-12?

Verse 40 on, given a careful reconstruction of Antiochus's reign, are events that happened under Antiochus iv. These verses were moved in order to put the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem. Whoever did this probably also added Daniel 9, which mentions Jerusalem several times. Outside of Daniel 9, the important locations are Babylon and Susa, Elam.
Originally, Daniel 11 tells exactly what happened to Antiochus. He died after attacking the temple in Elam (Susa).
THEREFORE, Daniel, just like Revelations, is completely PAST TENSE. The 'apocalyptic' idea is a 'revelation' of what just happened in the PAST. In other words, the author is exposing, or revealing, the underlying spiritual battles underlying the recent PAST. In no wise are these predictions, in any way, at all. Perhaps modern readers are fooled because they want to think Daniel actually lived under Nebuchadnezzar. Moderns take this literature literally, which is a shame because it misses so much.
Daniel 11 was written after the death of Antiochus iv, therefore at least one year after the current scholarly understanding.

A thousand generations. Sang a song in church Sunday with these words. It may seem like you have plenty of time and everything is rosy according to Deut. 7:9. But if you read vs 10, oh no! Didn’t sing that part. Also how does 40,000 years fit in to the accepted young earth dating.
Why would Revelation 18 not be the great fire of Rome in 64AD instead of Vesuvius in 79AD? Rev 18:6 suggests that God's people should reward Rome even as Rome had rewarded them, and [you - God's people] double unto her [Rome] according to her works; in the cup which she has filled [to you], you fill to her double. Obviously if literature like this was circulating in 64AD, this would have given Nero reason to think God's people had set fire to Rome. People tend to ignore this possible connection given the negative implications it might have for early Jewish "Christianity". Of course fires were common in Rome. Still, these verses are not helpful to a pacifist view of Jesus. Instead they are more in line with what we might expect of Jesus Barabbas.
However, after replies to this comment, I think Rev 18:6-8 is implicitly referring to the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD and referencing Jeremiah 51:24-26,45 and Isaiah 47:9 as pay back to Babylon. That is Babylon (Rome) is to be rewarded even as she rewarded Jerusalem, and Babylon (Rome) is to be burnt with fire. If that interpretation is correct, then that points to the Revelation having been completed after 70AD, and the burning of Rome is future - not past.
What year do you believe the book of Revelation was written?
Gustav Volkmar (1857) thought 68 or 69 AD. Given that the seven letters include a polemic against some of Paul's churches in Asia, and the book seems not to know (or care) about the destruction of Jerusalem, I would guess a reasonably complete version existed in 69 or early 70AD. Further "minor" revisions would have been completed later. Was there some proto-version of Revelation prior to 64AD? I assume the Jerusalem church had some type of apocalyptic Jesus framework they were working from, besides just Daniel and the Dead Sea Scrolls. Did that earlier framework include a command to burn Rome with fire? Luke 9:54-56 seems to suggest so. Luke's Pauline Jesus, of course, rebukes the overly zealous James and John, pillars of the Jerusalem church.
@@user-em8zx6pb9p Domitian is the beast (a second Nero, the last of his dynasty) as the beasts represent dynasties. Describing the downfall of the Flavians revelations must be dated around 100 or later. Revelations is interpreting things not predicting things.
Thanks for your response. But Revelation was not interpreting everything that had happened (what was, what is, and is to come). Because what was to come, the destruction of the beast from the sea (the Roman Empire) and the triumph of the Jewish Saints, had not yet happened. Was Revelation predicting the destruction of Rome and the triumph of the Jewish Saints after the fall of Jerusalem, like 4 Ezra (~100AD)? That is possible, but the book gives no hint Jerusalem and the temple are destroyed like 4 Ezra. Perhaps I am too eager to bring the date of Revelation in line with Gustav Volkmar's dating (68-69AD). But it is not necessary to do so to sustain Volkmar's hypothesis, because the mindset (teaching) of Revelation long predates the book itself. Volkmar argued the Gospel and the Jesus of Mark were written as a parable for Paul so as to counter the teaching (mindset) of Revelation and the Jerusalem church, even as the seven letters of Revelation were written to counter Paul's teaching in Asia.

(8 principes), their number is equal to the Elkanites (micah 5 : 5) ; eight princly men/ kings to lead Judah hench 'jewish' saints. There is a 2 horned beast (flavian dynasty) ; Vespasian (most high) and his 2 horns Titus and Domitian. There is a third beast (8+3 = 11 kings) what presents rome (both dynasties counted together). Domitian is the 11th and last. A second Nero becuz his dynasty ends with him. Domitian is Nero revived.
1st beast is Hydra (water-dragon)
2nd beast is EL (the bull)
3rd beast is the Dragon (serpent)

So you find data that supports certain assumptions..or proves certain claims or beliefs to be false? Was wondering if you could find data that proves the opposite…that these claims or statutes or beliefs are true?
James, you’re not monitoring the signs properly. Have you noticed the recent solar storms? They’ve been typical for solar maximum. Have you noticed the amazing low latitude auroras? That’s a sign of a thinning magnetosphere. That’s Isaiah 24:18 and Rev 6:14. There are other signs too.

Gentiles are those whose hearts aren't circumcised and then begin to take lives for religious law, and are missing the scarlet ribbon from Joshua in their books, John the Baptist's wine... Jehohanan Ben Hagios the real crucified one. Who's story was beheaded and crucified. Put in their field for the price of a slave.

Consider what Jesus Christ said while quoting the Messianic Psalm 2 about someone other than himself:

This planet is cyclic, we have recorded three major space falls, thus The Four Ages of Man or Suns from impact winters, there is no end of all ends. We Anthropomorphized this space weather cycle into thinking we, personally, are reborn as the planet is after the atmospheric loading dissipates and the blue sky and sunshine bring life back to the planet.
We, in the final analysis, have the 4th servant song in Isaiah (52:13-53:12) that indisputably describes Jesus of Nazareth and His suffering. All interpretations that dispute the Christ interpretation of these verses (e.g Israel as the servant, or perhaps the Prophets) are pathetically flawed, and condemn the professor's motives, if not his intelligence.
If you don't believe this song is a prophecy of Christ, please articulate you own explanation, from which we may all benefit.
James, I think that you are wrong about your fulfillments of Daniel 11:20-12:13 and Revelation. The word "end" is used 6 times in the Daniel passage to refer to the "end of time" and the "end of the age," of which Jesus also spoke, referring to the time of His return and the consummation of all things. Israel again is now on the scene almost 2000 years after 30 AD and for the 1st time there is the prophesied 10-state empire also on the scene: the daughter of the 15-state USSR, the 10-state Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), headed by Russia, out of which the Jewish Antichrist will come. My guess is that he is Jewish Yevgeny Prigozhin. I don't believe the Kremlin that he is dead. Remember, initial reports were that only 8, not 10, were killed in the plane explosion and a 2nd plane ended up in Baku, Azerbaijan. The contribution of John Nelson Darby and dispensationalism has been to lead hundreds of millions worldwide to seek for so-called prophetic signs and the appearance of the antichrist rather than setting at liberty their friends, neighbors, even their own children, according to the words of the prophet Moses, and in the meantime looking up for the return of the King Of Kings. Revelation covers a very great span of history, but some parts are relevant to close times. These depict an era when the centre of all power and wealth in the world is the North Atlantic. It gives a map of the North Atlantic. Rev 13 - The visionary is standing on the eastern seaboard of the USA and looking east across the ocean. He sees a beast rising from the sea, this is Europe. It is composed of 10 horns (political leaders, kings, presidents etc.), 7 heads (capital cities) and 10 crowns (sovereign states), the 27 states of the EU (after 2016). It lies between the Lion (Britain) and the Bear (Russia) using Daniel 7 as a key. Its body is like a leopard, it has a similar western liberal system to , and incorporates France and the Benelux countries (Dan 7). The head with the fatal wound (capital city) is Berlin which was conquered and divided, but later reunited and serving as the capital of Germany again. The west will be so powerful no one dare wage war against it. There is then a flashback to Nazi Germany, suggesting some continuity between modern Europe and the Nazi empire. The 42 months refers to the Holocaust from roughly November 1941 till April 1945. Not only will this beast conquer the Holy people (Jews) but it will conquer the whole world. A reference to the era of global European empires. The timescale here is evidently wide and represents the whole era of European world domination. The whole world will be in awe of western wealth and power. The visionary then turns and looks inland. The beast (gentile world power) he sees has two horns, it is one state ruled by two leaders, bipartisan democracy. It looks like a lamb, pretends to be Christian, but speaks like a Dragon, is in fact Satanic, and has all the wealth and power of this world granted by Satan (the Dragon). This second beast is connected to the first beast, together they form western power and wealth. This second beast will perform miracles (of technology), like the prophet Elijah it will make fire come down from the sky to destroy its enemies (Hiroshima and Nagasaki). Hence it will be called the 'False Prophet'. Like a prophet it will pass judgement on other nations and mete out destruction on them, but not with God's authority. He will cause a recreation of the Nazi empire in Europe to be built (image of the first beast), NATO. It will act as an entity in its own right. Anyone who will not submit to their power will be destroyed. The second beast will tax the whole world with 666. In Semitic languages each character has a numerical value. The letter with value '6' is 'v' or its equivalent 'w'. The mark is www the internet. It is long since 50% of of the value of all world trade passed through the internet. It is practically impossible now to buy or sell without the internet being involved at some stage. Mark them on the right hand, refers to the use of a device, or on the forehead, not everyone is right-handed, but when people look at a screen 'www' is imperceptibly reflected on their forehead. NB that 'www' is a palindrome so reads the same way when reflected. Obviously this parodies the wearing of the Tefilin during worship, but it is inverted from left to right to show it is Satanic. Sitting as if on the first beast is the woman (Britannia, the British Empire), also called Babylon the Great (Great Britain) or the Mighty City (City of London), which was once the supreme centre of global capitalist finance (Mother of Harlots). and origin of the industrial revolution (Mother of Earth's Abominations). Daniel 7 and the Second World War: The Lion, Britain has the Eagle's wings, US support, and it becomes the champion of the Jews. The "Holy people will be delivered into his hands for a time, two times and half a time" - refers to the Holocaust which lasted for three and a half years from late 1941 till May 1945. Daniel 7 then serves as a key to Revelation which covers the following times, including a massive nuclear war which will destroy a third of the world and kill a quarter of the world's population, then events going into a far distant future we cannot conceive.

I have been studying these texts for over 40 years and many of the things in them have only gradually come to make sense recently as new events and inventions came along, such as the internet. I qualified as a bio-scientist from one of the world's best science and engineering universities, spent 10 years working in biomedical research, and another 30 years teaching science related subjects. I am not impressed with crude, simplistic materialism of which I am a master. I set out in life with many questions to answer, both narrowly materialistic and others deeper. I have found out the answers to some amazing things - where did we come from, why are we here, where are we going? I now know the answers to these questions. Science and materialism are not religions and should not be mis-used as such, which is what many people, mostly those uneducated in such areas are doing in this culture. As a scientist I say test my analysis empirically. You will not have long to wait to see these things unfold.
