Because of Old Testament and Jesus I became Muslim. 10 years studied in Catholic School, 2 years reading and understanding Qur an and Islam, I was 24 years old when I embrace Islam and I proud of it.
Masha Allah brother, if you really practiced and followed what has been taught in the old Testament, you become muslim, because Allah also sent some His revelations and only prevailed for people at that time before prophet Muhammad SAW was born. And Quran is the final revelation and was perfected as the revelation for all mankind to the judgement day.

As an apatheist, I watch docus about all religions, by curiosity I guess and also because they are closely linked to the development and history of their respective societies, just interesting... For the first half an hour they repeatedly say how nothing is written down during the phrophets life and it's all memory (which isn't true as not only was it memoriesed but written too), but at 32 mins in, the narrator says that the written text is being collected some of which was written during the phrophets life. That's just a complete contradiction. They need to get their facts right as a lot people which watch this and believe everything's that's true as well as these mistakes they're spewing, which is them trying to knock down the autencity of the Quran.

You underestimate Islam. The science of recording the life, actions and sayings of the Prophet pbuh is exceptional and unmatched in its sophistication and rigour. It is supported by the living miracle of the Quran. How the Quran speaks to humans is amazing in itself BUT just the fact that it is the only religious book with a singular version in 1440 years of history. A book that claims divine protection against alteration and has the ability to be memorised in its entirety by thousands of ordinary men who do not know or speak the language yet can remember the huge book down to each syllable. And it also challenges those who do not believe that you can never create one chapter like that of the Quran. 1440 years and the claim still stands. The quran is exceptionally coherent with fascinating built-in mathematical wonders and symmetries. It doesn't clash with science despite talking about several scientific matters 1440 years ago such as the process of child birth and orbits of sun & planets, etc. In fact science has corrected itself and caught up to the Quranic statements in the case of the orbit of the Sun for example where science originally considered sun to be stationary. Scholars say Quran is inconsistent with science in less than 1% of cases where it is understood as figurative speech or that science is yet to catch up to Quran as has happened over history.

We even know their names, the companions of Prophet Muhammad (may peace & blessings be upon him), who wrote down the verses as the verses were revealed down to prophet Muhammad, other than oral memorizing of the verses. The verses were scattered in various written forms. Because prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was still alive and the verses were still revealed to him. It was never bound in a book form during his lifetime. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) even gave explicit directions to his companions how the verses will be put together one after another. Which verse will come after which . We can even tell word for word how each of the words of the verses were pronounced, the way it was relaved to prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Which is the most astounding fact about Qur'an. It was even forbidden to write down the sayings of prophet Muhammad (pbuh) during the revelation of the Qur'an, which was a direct order from Prophet Muhammad ( pbuh) because of the fear that it might get mixed with the Qur'an. That's just a complete contradiction. They need to get their facts right as a lot people which watch this and believe everything's that's true as well as these mistakes they're spewing, which is them trying to knock down the autencity of the Quran.

You underestimate Islam. The science of recording the life, actions and sayings of the Prophet pbuh is exceptional and unmatched in its sophistication and rigour. It is supported by the living miracle of the Quran.
How the Quran speaks to humans is amazing in itself BUT just the fact that it is the only religious book with a singular version in 1440 years of history. A book that claims divine protection against alteration and has the ability to be memorised in its entirety by thousands of ordinary men who do not know or speak the language yet can remember the huge book down to each syllable. And it also challenges those who do not believe that you can never create one chapter like that of the Quran. 1440 years and the claim still stands.
The quran is exceptionally coherent with fascinating built-in mathematical wonders and symmetries. It doesn't clash with science despite talking about several scientific matters 1440 years ago such as the process of child birth and orbits of sun & planets, etc. In fact science has corrected itself and caught up to the Quranic statements in the case of the orbit of the Sun for example where science originally considered sun to be stationary. Scholars say Quran is inconsistent with science in less than 1% of cases where it is understood as figurative speech or that science is yet to catch up to Quran as has happened over history.
So a lot more than historic research has been done about Muhammad pbuh, Quran and Islam by all kinds of scholars and historians.

Dear Reza Aslan, All the verses of the Quran were already in written form during the life time of prophet Muhammad ( may peace & blessings be upon him ). We even know their names, the companions of Prophet Muhammad (may peace & blessings be upon him), who wrote down the verses as the verses were revealed down to prophet Muhammad, other than oral memorizing of the verses. The verses were scattered in various written forms. Because prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was still alive and the verses were still revealed to him. It was never bound in a book form during his lifetime. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) even gave explicit directions to his companions how the verses will be put together one after another. Which verse will come after which . We can even tell word for word how each of the words of the verses were pronounced, the way it was relaved to prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Which is the most astounding fact about Qur'an. It was even forbidden to write down the sayings of prophet Muhammad (pbuh) during the revelation of the Qur'an, which was a direct order from Prophet Muhammad ( pbuh) because of the fear that it might get mixed with the Qur'an. You really need to study more. It surprised me how confidently you are conveying a wrong information without having little to no knowledge about the preservation & transmission of the Qur'an. He said the Quran organised to largest to smallest absolutely this is false quran starts suratul al fatiha and its not longest and ends suratul an naas and its not shortest but we can say that the longest surah is in the first chapter and the shortest one is in the last chapter...
This is very interesting to someone like me who wants to learn more about Islam and especially the problems with Islam in the modern world. It sounds like Arabia was already fucked up before Islam! Seems like Islam didn't help solve many of the problems from back then (women's rights, inequality of wealth, etc.). They are still there as before. Now I want to learn more about pre-Islamic Arabia.

The climate of Medina did not suit some people, so the Prophet (ﷺ) ordered them to follow his shepherd, i.e. his camels, and drink their milk and urine (as a medicine). So they followed the shepherd that is the camels and drank their milk and urine till their bodies became healthy. Then they killed the shepherd and drove away the camels. When the news reached the Prophet (ﷺ) he sent some people in their pursuit. When they were brought, he cut their hands and feet and their eyes were branded with heated pieces of iron.
