I'm looking at some of the comments and some people are a bit confused on how "Edgy" is used in the title. "Edgy" here is more used to say "on the edge of stardom" or "breaking through the edge", or simply they're just "trendy" as opposed to how an English speaker would use it.

Ok, but the weird thing is that the original Japanese title and matching lyric doesn't literally say "edgy"-- it's something spelled with kanji. So this doesn't appear to be a case of loanword shenanigans, but... a vocabulary mistake by a translator?

the actual translation of the title is something along the lines of cutting edge or something like that
"New fresh idols on the edge of making a breakthrough"
...is what you all ought to think inside your head, when you read the actually selected English title. If you do so, then will the English meaning of the word "edge" somehow be almost correctly derived from the original Japanese title word.
