I think she's trying to say white people are racist because racism is learned behaviour and American society (school system, infrastructure, injustice system etc) teaches from childhood that white men are the pioneers, the scientists, the achievers and the role models like Columbus etc whilst omitting black contributions to civilisation- it's a thousand mini lessons teaching white supremacy and to look down on the brown/black people both within the US and the ones outside its borders.
Her lived experience is in the US but there are several parallels and similarities when it comes to Europe, Australia and other countries as well.

I started tearing up, my Ancestors lived here before white people had discovered Australia.. And I guess what got me upset, was the fact that when I went to school nothing was ever taught about the Aboriginal people of Australia, not one bit.. But they talked a shit tonne about the 'Discovery' of Australia and settling here.. Hence why Australia Day, has a different meaning to different people, I still celebrate it, but for the reason of the Country as a whole, of what it is like now, not for what the original reason for celebrating it was.. Where do you think America gets its cheap labor to grow fruits and vegetables? It's from all these South American countries. And a lot more resources and opportunities have been exploited from these people. And they do it because they don't have any other choice. I guarantee that if you visit some of these countries you will see that most of their hotels, factories, embassy and major resources are owned and governed by Americans.
