- Do you miss the look of the good old Windows 7? Do you wish you could have that look back on your current pc without reinstalling Windows? Well I have a solution for you! There's a utility called Revert8Plus that allows you to install a Windows 7 theme on your system without breaking anything. And if you don't like it, you can uninstall it just like any other program. I want to add that this software after I have installed, tried, hated and uninstalled had 53 viruses found by malwarebytes.
Not recommended to install this.
Were the viruses processes that modify system components? That's actually the purpose of this program... And maybe the antivirus was misreporting
@@maxheadroomone It's possible, but I doubt it because malwarebytes found spyware even after I uninstalled it. I also want to add that my pc was not working properly while it was running and installed. I could not see or use my task bar, and it took nearly 5+ minutes because my desktop icons returned. This was all after reboot and installation was finished. It seemed to have locked me out, froze my pc, and it was with the arrow spinning for minutes. It did not feel right. My windows is Win11 22H2

so i installed this on a microsoft surface and it worked for the most part but i dont see the aero theme like the one that has the x icon on the top right

I think you should restore the normal theme before update. If don't, somethings after update will be broken

I'm comfused is this just a skin or do you install the whole Windows 7 and if you wanna go back do you have to download more stuff
its just a reskin, some assets of windows 10 is still involved. and if you want to go back just use the same command you installed the skin with or use system recovery. best recommended method is the one shown in the video.

Useless for me, as I only used Windows 7 in the classic view. The classic view in Windows 7 was very similar to the Windows 2000 user interface. I really regret that Windows 10 doesn't have that.
if i try this is there a way to revert it? (like go back to normal windows 11 instead of the modded windows 11 my version is 23h2 )

I virustotal'd the URL, nothing caught. but that isn't saying everything that gets loaded is safe. ran the command inside the parenthesis and there were flags on communications for something called getw7.exe ... I'm sorry, but this just SCREAMS run this and join my botnet or let me into your computer.
Then all you need next is the 8gadgetpack thing and you're set. I actively use it myself and it actually still has some use to me.
the icons in the taskbar are too small for it too look accurate, which can be fixed with 7+ taskbar tweaker with the flag "w10_large_icons" set to 1

It doesn't do any of those. It just applies a Windows 7 theme on your machine and that's all.

It's not compatible with multiple users at this time.

@@pizzakirby. It affects both users, but only the one running the program will have a complete theme. There will be issues on the other user currently, however I am working on a possible fix.

The top right buttons are Windows 10, not Windows 7. But for the rest, all is perfect.

Yes, this only changes the appearance of the computer

It doesn't change your OS. You just get the UI of W7 on your current OS.
Bring back the Windows 8.1 start menu by installing open shell and decreasing opacity to 0 and switch the menu theme to Windows 8 if you want a Windows 8.1 feel on Windows 10 technically Windows 10 basically is Windows 8.1 Microsoft SHOULD of called it Windows 9 though not Windows 10 technically Windows 11 is the REAL Windows 10.
Windows 8.1 never had a start menu. Instead, it had the start screen, which is included in the Aero8 theme here.
In a CMD window, ask a Vista machine what version it is...
Ver command spits back Windows 6.0
Ask a Win-7 machine what version it is...
Ver command spits back Windows 6.1 (the rest is advertising).
Ask a Win-8 machine what version it is...
Ver command spits back (you guessed it, it's a virus inside a Vista machine) Windows 6.2 !
Now ask a Win-10 machine what version it is...
Ver command spits back Windows 10.0
I will finish this post some day when I can afford hardware that Win-11 will support.

It's sick how Windows became polluted by overlaying visual elements. One layer over other.
I mean, Windows classic theme still exists and it's used but it's burried. On Windows XP, Vista and 7 MS had put basic theme over the classic theme and aero glass theme over basic theme. Now in Windows 8 and onwards Windows had gained one more layer with the Metro design, over the Aero Glass.

It should revert everything (kind of) back to normal.
Run the command again to uninstall.
@@MrKotoCraft sfc /scannow is not recommended on v3.0. On v3.1, sfc /scannow will have no effect other than repairing any corrupt files you had before installation.

You actually need MULTIPLE Stardock apps for that, wich would cost WAY ABOVE 5 bucks.

Media Center does work, and it won't break your system (you can easily uninstall it by running the command again)

I tried this software, and I was kind of impressed. It did not work as I had hoped. The theme design was nice, but the taskbar buttons on the upper right were Windows 10/11 style and some text could not be seen. Also, my taskbar was gone most of the time and as soon as I uninstalled Start all back I lost my taskbar. I could not make much if any changes, and Windows 11 took longer to load.
I tried on Windows 11 it could be a problem, but it may not. I am not sure. I had to uninstall it to fix my PC.

@@CyberSphere2024 Me and many other users have tested on many versions of Windows 11 and it worked fine. Did you have a third party antivirus installed? That could be the culprit.
