First kayak fishing session of 2023 - Lough Allua - Pike fishing - Fishing Ireland - Small lures

- Another great kayak fishing session on Lough Allua for a winter pike. In the video I was using verity of lures: LMAB Kofi Perch, Rapala Jointed Shad, Savage Gear Shad etc.

For pike I'm using Savage Gear XTLN 3 100g rod and Penn Squall 200 baitcaster. The reel is loaded with 40lb braid and I'm using 100lb fluorocarbon as leader.
My second rod is KastKing Max Steel Rod and KastKing Crixus Baitcasting Reel loaded with 28lb braid.
I'm fishing on Perception Pescador Pilot 12 kayak rigged with Torqeedo 403 Ultralight and Lowrance Hook Reveal 7 Triple Shot. When it comes to finding of a structure and good marks, one of the greatest assets is Navionics Platinum Plus, which is available here: www.navionics.com/gbr/.

I don't tie my net any more, it's floating, so I don't bother. 😀😀

I got them on Savage Gear Shad, fire tiger colour 12cm. The one you can see in the image. They were all sitting close to the shore in the weeds. Very slow presentation and you'll get them. Tight lines. 😀😀
