You can use frozen plastic water bottles to keep the distilled water cool. Good video James!

I have had mine for 6 months now and after hand pumping all my air guns for about a year , having this compressor is a game changer it makes shooting air guns so much more enjoyable and I have had no problems with it either ,best money I ever spent ,thanks for the video

Hey Matthew great to hear that! I’ve been hand pumping for 6 years now but have only been filling the Gamo Unban .22 cal 105cc air tube. After picking up the Fx Wildcat Mk3 with a 300 cc tube it was time to get this pump! I’m so glad to see folks chime in like you did here. I’m looking forward to more enjoyable, steady shots now and my love for the pcp air sport has finally been renewed!

After going through a vector and spritec cheap compressors with nothing but trouble I purchased a YH so I’m excited to see how that works for me!

I love my YH compressor. Mine is a genuine Yong Heng, but only has the air release knob, and no moisture release knob. It just has a breather. I got mine new from Amazon. It will fill a 200 bar from empty to full in a few minutes. I use refrigerated distilled water.

Hey James, I am waiting for mine to arrive, it's a Christmas gift to myself. When my wife heard the noise I made while using the handpump, she said "PLEASE GET IT", I'm almost 70. I liked the review, not a lot of "you need this, get that, blah blah blah!". Merry Christmas buddy ...

I actually have used my yongheng to fill my 45 minute SCBA tank several times. It took about 45 minutes to fill the tank from 3,000 to 4,300. I watched the temperature gauge and about every 10 minutes I would shut off the valve on the tank open the bleeder on the airline and the moisture line to allow all the moisture to bleed out and turn the pump off for a couple of minutes. Always start the compressor with both valves open and then tighten the valves after the pump is running for a second or two and when the pressure gauge is very close to the pressure that is on the tank then I open the valve on the tank and continue filling it. I have two small and two large separators with cotton and silica gel to absorb any oil or moisture from getting into the SCBA tank. It's been 3 years now and I bought a bigger compressor with two cylinders that you cannot pick up and carry but still use the 5 gallon pail of water with some blue ice packs. If I just want to fill a gun the yongheng is the way to go. I normally would only use the SCBA tank that I have filled because hooking up the compressor and the water and the filters is a little bit of a process. The SCBA tank is also easy to carry in the car out to the range or to the woods for hunting. The big compressor and the yongheng stay at home.

Great video James. The yong hang compressor is not to available in my area. So I kicked it up a little with the hil ec-3000 made in England. Built really well. It costs considerable more . I also purchased it at a reputable local air gun shop. 👍👍

I bought my Yong Heng in December 2017..it is a 230v and it is still working great. Keep oil changed when you see it darken.. I use the recommended 46 Hydraulic oil. Love it. I paid $303 dollars for it.

WOW! That's quick! Nice set up. Affordable quick power. Yes, distilled water is really cheap and the way to go. $0.79 - $0.99 a gallon around here. If you use ice cubes in the water I'd make those out of distilled water too

Hey James,....I'm glad I got a lesson from you on how to use the Yong Heng Compressor because to me that Manual was kind of confusing. Thanks for that tip also on that fill hose too, with that gravity bend preventing water to enter the air tank.

Nice review James, I like my yong heng and has been in use since early 2019, the thing i don't like is the gauge on them will eventually rupture, i bought a nice (made in Japan) oil filled gauge off amazon about 14 bucks and it has performed well every since. Also i added an extra filter to the fill line, highly recommend it,
The pump still fills from about 1800 psi to 4350 in about 1 minute 40 seconds, keep the oil changed and like you said use distilled water or antifreeze, shoot safe & often!

Great video Man! I'm really looking into getting one of these. I currently get my SCBA tank filled at a Dive Shop.
In the future I won't be living near one and I need to take that into account. Plus the dude charges me $20 to top off my 88 Cu Ft tank. I'm getting tired of that. Subscribed.

Coolant water should be fed in from the bottom of the sleeve, not the top. That way you can be sure you are getting maximum cooling. Feeding water in from the top is likely lead to a lot of air in the sleeve.

Don't get this thing. It's garbage.
I can't believe they're talking about it as if we haven't already determined that.
Get one of the Hatsan Spark clones. Under $300 on Amazon, no oil or water.

@@dangerous8333 what's parts availability like on the spark clones? No pump will last forever even a $2000 one will take a shit eventually. I just want to be sure I can get parts easily to fix one when it does go down.

... 🤔... You mean you can't just buy the compressor and add the oil/antifreeze and fill your gun?!? You also have to run lines into a bucket of water?!? Are all compressors like that?!? I'm just now getting into air rifles and was thinking about getting the Benjamin Bulldog but, if you have to do all of that, just to fill it, not sure now 😒!

100kmi premixed antifreeze is better. It has corrosion inhibitors and prevents issues which are found in distilled water.

  • @dangerous8333
    @dangerous8333 Před 3 lety +1

We already determined these are garbage years ago.
Look for one of the clones of the Hatsan Spark compressor. They're under $300 on Amazon. Don't fall for the repainted rebadged look-alikes that people are trying to sell for over 400 though.
No oil, no water necessary. What's the actual fill time? What does "very fast" mean? How can anyone make an educated decision based on "it fills very fast". The one I have fills my bulldog and Leishy 2 in a couple minutes.
Edit: This thing hasn't been popular for a while. In fact, I haven't seen a video about one of these for 2 years now.
Edit 2: There is really no difference between an authentic yung hang and a clone. They literally come from the same factory. They just switch the buttons around to make it seem like it's a different company to create the illusion that there's competition. Keep that in mind when you're purchasing.
