    ☛📄 DESCRIPTION
Let's explore the anatomy of the cervical vertebra, in this lecture.
These are a crucial part of the spinal column present at the nape of our neck, between the skull and the thoracic vertebrae.
The spinal or vertebral column acts as the center point of the skeleton of most vertebral animals, including humans. It is a series of approximately 33 bones called the vertebrae, separated by intervertebral discs.
The vertebral column is divided into five main parts: cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacral, and coccyx.
The cervical vertebrae are the smallest among all these bones. It consists of seven bony rings. Each of these vertebrae is named according to their position, the superior one being C1, and the inferior one being C7.
It is quite fascinating how even the tallest of animals, like giraffes, also possess seven cervical vertebral bones.
