Landing and Takeoff KCVK - Beech Premier 1A Jet

We are headed to BFE in a jet today. Come along as we skim the trees to land at a small town runway with no fuel truck, No GPU, and no cookies! We self-serve the jet and I pull out my personal credit card. Thank you dispatch for totaling hosing us!

Why isn't there a displaced threshold to avoid the trees? Would't that be simpler?

Notice no PAPI, no VASI, probably why they made approach to RW 4 at night not authorized. Someone going in VFR could be in for a real surprise at night.

I'm a non-pilot. Is this considered a mandatory two pilot aircraft?

Hi Jack, the aircraft is certified for single pilot operations. Insurance may dictate otherwise.
