If you say alexa switch to full screen the mic will be disabled. However if you say alexa talk to the {device name}, the mic will work if you talk back using the alexa button on the remote
Announcements don't work on the firecube 3rd gen. Got them working on all my other devices but firecube won't have any off it. The notifications settings has Alexa notifications turned off within the firecube settings. I turn it on but it always reverts to off. Did you get it working on a firecube 3rd gen?
I must admit I have only tried on a 4k max, I don’t have a 3rd gen cube to try it on.
It’s shows as a alert on my fire stick but doesn’t auto show Picture in Picture. Is there a setting i need to change?

I've a firestick 4k and it won't work, if you press the mic button once quickly smart home comes up on the bottom of the screen, but won't go to front door.
If you press mic on remote and ask Alexa to show front door, it does and if you keep finger on mic button on remote you can talk to person at door.
Can the wording be removed from full screen?
Can the same be done with a Blink doorbell?
I am not sure I guess if you can setup an Alexa routine then you should be able to.

Does it work only while using your Amazon fire stick
If you want to see who’s at the door and have no other devices connected to the ring camera then yes only when you are using your stick. If you are watching from another source then the camera will only appear on your phone or tablet if you have the ring device install on them.
Don't think they will allow this via Ring / FireTV due to listening in and possible recording etc, due to Privacy. It is muted on mine too, I am Tech Savvy after being tech/micro electronics trained as well as CCTV officer. Sure it may be possible in a future update/patch, but hardly think it will be a priority as I think it may be due to Ring Privacy settings and software protection on that side.

I tend to have my phone with me any way, so use that for Audio if needed, so it is not a huge deal breaker, just a minor inconvenience for now. I think with IFTT on your phone and connected you can initiate triggers to turn off the Picture in Picture after say 15-20 seconds too.
How do you take ring doorbell off fire cube
Go to the Alexa app and then Devices then remove the fire tv from devices.
my firetv doesn't show me a picture in picture or even announce any activity of the Ring Video doorbell how can i fix this

Is your firestick connected to the same Wi-Fi as your doorbell.
@@cwtek1 @Chris Waite finally got it working, if anyone as the same problem log off, clear the app, log back in on Ring, uninstal Alexa, and reinstall Alexa,. FireTV must be resynched back to the app to show fully. Now works fine, only problem I have now is the Firestick occasionally gives me blue screen on tv. Which after looking into it - it is something to do with the automatic HDMI switching and how the Firestick works. No matter what advice or video I follow, or do to rectify that, it seems to be hit n miss. Even removing auto-switching on the tv settings does not correct that.

The only way I have found to correct it on my Toshiba tv is to turn the power off to the FIRESTICK4K MAX, and leave it off for about 10 seconds. Make sure the tv is set to the HDMI where Firestick is plugged in, then turn the power back on to Firestick, that should give Firestick maximum power to reset the Firestick and start the internal software from scratch n load the bootup screen.

I do have it working pretty good now when it launches. I have Alexa notifications coming through to the FireTV, plus Ring comes through to the tv good including picture in picture. Also can send announcements to the tv as well now :)
And today I managed to get my other EZViz security cameras coming through the Firetv too! :)
