Federal Signal STH-10 - Lattimore, NC - 2/1/2020 (ft. TrainsAndSirens1 & RadioactiveGirl00)

- And here we have another awesome siren test! This time, we are in Lattimore, NC, recording this beautiful Federal Signal STH-10A. This siren is part of the Cleveland County Emergency Warning System, which is tested on the first Saturday of every month at Noon. However, this time they tested exactly 30 minutes late due to calls in progress taking place in the county at the time. About 10 minutes before the test, (and this is pretty hilarious), one of the firemen in the building came out and spoke with my dad about the siren, and eventually, the hobby that Christopher and I both have about sirens. The firefighter then proceeded to actually watch the video of this exact siren activating back in 2016. LOL. This siren is a 3 phase model, sounding off in a unique Fast Wail signal, located on 341 Westlee Street in Lattimore, NC. Since this siren was last filmed by Christopher in 2016, it has since be relocated to the fair right side of the building close to the road now, along with what appears to be a new fire department building as well. I used to live in Lattimore, NC. Grew up there, went to Lattimore Elementary School before it was retired and became Springmore about two miles away. I would hear those sirens every month while sitting in class. This was during the 80s.

That's the torque from the motor
Normally, it's from the fast spinning motor.
Funny fact! I was watching a video of a White STH-10 While PASSING a White STH-10 in a town we're currently driving by right now.
