@@DovahFettthat was a crazy outta nowhere moment. Pikkon also wasn’t a power up type, so seeing him kicking it up a notch was wild.
That’s not really the in-canon reason though. Goku stopped using Kaio-Ken because of the toll it took on his body. With Super Saiyan Blue, he is able to use it again because this Super Saiyan form is more about control and being calm.
