  • This is a block by block tutorial for a Minecraft Autocrafter in the most current version of the game. It incorporates a copper bulb to negate a double pulse from an observer, and sends the crafted items into a chest. This is the third autocrafter I have designed, so hopefully Mojang doesn't change the way autocrafters work again!

    Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Does this only work for crafting recipes using one item type?
A: Yes. There is no way to make a universal tileable design that works for every crafting recipe in the game. This is meant to be used for recipes that use a single type of item (e.g. iron, gold, emeralds, wheat).
Q: Can I use this for recipes that don't use the full crafting interface?
A: Yes. This works for any recipe that uses one item type. If you want to make something that doesn't take up the full interface, but still only uses one item, just disable the unused slots in the crafter.
Q: I expanded my autocrafter, and made sure that the copper bulbs were turned on, but one or more crafters isn't working.
A: This can happen when expanding the autocrafter while it is in the middle of crafting. Simply make sure the copper bulbs are on, and then empty the crafters that aren't working.

How many items per hour can the crafter receive? I wanna predict how many I'll need fot a raid farm.

@albythegreat4648 If you are doing full blocks, each crafter makes a bit over 1000 blocks per hour. If you are doing recipes that don't use the full interface, it takes less time to craft.
It can receive 9000-10000 items per hour

I have a question. Isn't it weird to have a button and input/output on different sides in something tileable? I mean, if I make 10-20 in a row, I will have to run around the entire structure every time

@WitherslayR i wonder how fast you can make these. Since you could point 4 hoppers in a crafter. You just need a sufficiently fast clock to craft things. If I apply this idea for a raid farm, I'd use multiple sorters that dispense items into water streams leading to crafters that craft these into compact items. Or i could just follow whichever design on youtube seems cool to build. Haven't used crafters before.

@albythegreat4648 You could technically point up to 3 hoppers into this crafter system, but it wouldnt be one block wide anymore. So I guess it is cheaper to use 3 hoppers for each crafter, keeping it tileable but 3 blocks wide. It isn't quite as fast as having 3 crafter next to each other but it saves on resources. This actually gave me an idea so I might make a video on how to make it faster

"so we decided to remove the auto crafter since it didn't feel like minecraft anymore"

This feels overly complicated. Why not just have an 9 block long redstone line (4 in both directions). Horizontally its a few blocks longer, but its also only 3 blocks high and much cheaper and simpler to build

This is what I originally did (link in description), but people wanted me to make a more compact version with the copper bulb.
