He's talking about his relationship with Jesus and how being in a band other people tell him how to act, what to sing about, and to forget his morals to make sure he success in his career and / or life. Each band at some point must grow and do what they want, The Hollow was a great record but Kellen write all the instruments in each record from The Hollow, so it's silly that people say that they have changed. If you don't like what they are doing, then get out of here! True fans support at all times, I'll support them and I'm convinced that this will be a great record.

I haven't been a biggest fan of the way this band changed musically since The Hollow, but I have to give major props to Matty for staying solid lyrically and thematically throughout his career. It takes a lot a faith and conviction to stand for your beliefs in the face of an industry that has an unspoken agenda to eradicate it. Bravo, Matty.
Stick to your beliefs, Don't let riches sway your path, Don't do it for them, Do it for something bigger, Do it for what you love, Do it for God...! Amen to these guys. Keep the faith, stick to your guns.
So, SO good. They've always been so relatable and convicting with the lyrics, but these plus the new sound in the chorus just take this up a notch. It's just so popular to hate on them these days, so I really respect this response.

One thing I've always loved about MMF is that Anthony and Kellen never fail to write the craziest riffs. They're both extremely technically diverse guitarists.

Easily one of my top 10 favorite tracks by them. It was powerful, had alot of meaning and backstory behind it and ultimately kicked ass. Ive been listening to these guys for over 5 years now and this song immediately struck me and had me hitting repeat over and over. They are still just as brilliant and unique as ever

I'm seeing so many people say the lyrics are bad and I genuinely don't get it. I'll admit they aren't exactly metaphorical, but MMF has never been a very symbolic band to begin with. However, what the lyrics accomplish is something they've always done, which is convey a strong message that's meaningful and something the band can actually stand behind.
