Team rocket set gives me flashbacks to my childhood. After the success of 151 and evolutions, not reimagining old sets is leaving money on the table.
My favorite sets of all time were the Gym heroes/challenge sets and the team rocket set from way back. Would love to see both of them reimagined with fun new cards.
Saying a Team Rocket set is out of place/off theme and doesn't belong in Scarlet & Violet makes no sense. Just look at 151.

I would love for them to do remastered versions of all the old WOTC sets
Eevee set will be hype just like the Eevee IR in Twilight Masquerade 😁. It’s already going to the moon
I love the Kanto heavy sets but honestly I'm ready to see the Johto starters get some more love. We have enough Charmander, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Eevee, and Pikachu.
Cyndaquil doesn't get nearly enough love. Would be cool to see a Johto themed set

A Team Rocket set in 2024/2025 is a ticket to take my money by Pokémon. 151 got me back into Pokémon cards. Maybe some time we can get a new Gym Heroes series.
Depends on when Z-A comes out, we might see the return of Megas
Thought about that too, we’ve technically had delta species back also and ace specs. Only thing is would megas be a 4th stage or evolve from basic ex pokemon.
So the fourth main set should be a combo of the Pikachu/lightning themed set and the dragona one. Sick
4:10 It's interesting that there is one number separating the Bulba and Squirtle cards. Perhaps they will have an alt charmander? Or maybe simply reprint it with a set number? It makes sense seeing as Charmander is in-between the other starters in Dex number.
theres a japanese charmander alt version that fills in that hole exactly like the english version

I would love to see a return to dark Pokemon. It doesn’t even have to be team rocket alone. I know it doesn’t fit the new “bad guy” style, but maybe instead it could be a mix of all the bad guys in a set. Like rocket, Aqua/magma, galactic, plasma etc. A huge set of a mix of every generation I think would be a huge success. Then throw rocket on the front because Gen 1 sells obviously 🤣

If squirtle and bulbasaur are in the set, I don't think they'll be nearly as expensive as the eevee in twilight masquerade, in fact they probably won't exceed $20 after a couple months. There's just not enough IRs in the set to make the pull rates difficult enough to raise their value. 151 has more IRs and the starters are only in the $20s.
I wanna see more battle scenes in SIR form like charizard vs venusaur. That card is awesome.

What about the pikachu and dragon sets? Im finally excited for the scarlet and violet sets. the later half looks like it going to be a banger cant wait.
Sets themed around a type (Fire, darkness, dragon) are fairly cyclical. Usually the last 4 sets are the best. Last 4 of sun & moon, last 4 of sword & shield. So I'm definitely excited for next year

I absolutely can't wait till the Eeveeloution set! That's all I've been waiting for throughout this whole SV era! Finally, I can move on from Evolving Scams! And I can't believe that Eevee IR went up even more in value! I'm so happy that managed to pull it after my third booster box!

Dont forget there is a new pokemon game coming out in the near future. The dark pokemon thing could be tied into Legends ZA. Im not sure since we dont know the timeline on that game but when legends arceus came out they peppered in the hisuian stuff
The reveal trailer for the upcoming game hinted at megas returning. So that'll likely be the gimmick rather than dark. But hey, I wouldn't be against dark megas haha

No 1995 is when Pokémon started so it’s exactly 30 years. Celebrations was 5 years ago

@@maxbuat-menard7512 Incorrect. Pokemon released its first game in 1996. And Celebrations was not 5 years ago - it came out in October of 2021. The next anniversary set would be coming out towards the end of 2026.

Didn’t you forget about the dragon set ? And where has it been stated the bulbasaur and squirtle promos will be released in a main set? Also not sure how team rocket is not “in theme” as they could easily do dark terra type .
I think the skepticism in my dialogue is great. I welcome the return of Dark Pokemon. I think pokemon marketers wouldn't take the risk on doing a set around pokemon corrupted by an evil theme in this age.

So really after Stellar Crown there won't be any big English sets until 2025? Seems odd but I'm ok with it, especially if that means I can save money for Team Rocket next year.
There's going to be an 8th main set released around Nov & Dec. I mention it briefly but we don't even have a name for it yet. The Eevee Japanese special holiday set might drown it though in terms of hype

Not to be that guy, but I couldn't give a single toss about the rocket or eevee set. There's so much good stuff already out and worth picking up instead. Be patient guys - the hype around these sets will die off and you can swoop in when everyone else is distracted with the next new thing

There is no way a Popular Pokémon like eevee/its evolutions or team rocket will go down in price. Half of scarlet and violet sets are dying off In price except OGs like Magikarp SIR cards and sword/shield eevee evolution made evolving skies sky rocket

Never understood the hype for Eevee and its evolutions...Btw I fear Team rocket set will be scalped and investors and speculators will flock to it.
