It is considered a truism in the self-help industry and in the culture at large that values are important. Yet the way that these values are understood fundamentally differs from the way they have been traditionally understood in the humanities. In short, values today are psychologized and relativized. In this video, I point out some fundamental problems with such an approach, criticizing some views popular in positive psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy.

Like my values my taste is personal, what I learned in the art university, is my ideas are to personal, absurd to think my audience will understand, my art if it is any good, it should be what is happening between me and my audience, a conversation.
I think the problem in modern time we render absurd thing to muds meaning, we give word to strong values, in the end they become stamps.
It OK to be gay ore strait , sane ore insane, if we walking around telling everybody in free society too understand those absurd word.
In the end we are all just crying Woolf, fighting windmills, with some loyal fool.

There is some moral relativism. However, I would say every culture places wisdom in high-esteem. Even if not, this is implicitly the case as you would not survive well in any culture without striving with that value in mind. I love the topic of this video. Been waiting to see a critique like this one. I have not been impressed with psychologists unless they have some philosophy guiding them.
