I have been sewing for 50 years, making everything from kites, bags, waterproof bib overalls, bomber hats etc. I have an industrial machine, as well as a couple home machines. I have watched lots of sewing tutorials, and yours is by far the best I have ever seen! Your detailed explanations, beautiful editing and camera work is simply amazing! I can't imagine how many hours you spent filming and editing, having created videos of my own I know it's a lot of work.

I made it! I am so thankful for what you're doing!! It was my first time sewing pants ever and they look absolutely gorgeous. I would say I am an advanced beginner, self-taught, and this tutorial was so easy to follow. I ordered the DIY pack in navy blue, I am a girl, 5.4feet and 130 lbs and I made the size 30. It fits PERFECTLY. I would buy again any pack you offer. Thank you SO much.

Awesome! These ones are a bit baggier than you might be looking for but you can always adjust the pattern or tailor it to your liking :)
@@GloryAllan Oh no, it's EXACTLY what I was looking for - by well-fitting I meant that it always looked off even when I tried some on (they just weren't baggy enough). I'm trying to find a fabric that would be good for making them but it's a struggle, since all I find is either 100% polyester, 100% cotton or mostly cotton with 5% nylon/elastane fabrics. Would a mix of 65%. polyester and 35% cotton work well?

You are an excellent teacher! What a joy to watch and see others interested in sewing. I’m in my 70’s and have sewn garments for 50 plus years and just wish CZcams had been available back in my day. Thank you for producing great content. I have my pattern downloaded and yes, grammas like these too! For raw edges on your waistband and inside fly, a neat touch I like to do is cut up thrift store silk ties as they're on the bias and sew a binding over those edges for a fun inside look. Makes me smile when I get dressed! Also, I use quirky bright colors like Kaffe Fasset for the inside pockets!

I love your designs. Just a suggestion maybe when sewing pieces of the project maybe at the beginning show the finish product of that piece before sewing so people know what you're working on. I kind of got lost in what you were making at certain parts on such a complex project. Great work. Definitely want to buy a kit after I get my sewing machine.

You’ve got something special going here for real. I stopped watching YT long ago bc I hated when intros were super long & I hated what I called the “sleazy used car salesman tone” a lot of creators take on. It feels very disingenuous & cheesy. But this feels real, and like one friend who loves cargo pants teaching another how to sew. It gets right to the point. I can’t wait to try it out and this is officially going to become one of the few channels I subscribe to. Keep this going!

The details are so very refined - from the explanation of the fabric choice to the contents of the DIY kit, and from sewing machine settings down to making patch pockets. Thank you so much :) I am especially thankful for how you repeated machine settings for straight stitch, zigzag, and oh my, using zipper foot as an edgestitch guide for topstitching! That'd never occurred to me! I also liked the tip on where to start sewing the hem of the trousers, from the inseam end to make it more inconspicuous! GENIUS! You have a fan in me

I have enjoyed making things, I am self-taught but that being said watching here I have learned a ton more! I just bought these cargo pants pattern, I hope to build them into shorts, and swim trunks! Thank you very much! In my previous sewing tasks, I have used a Singer it is the oldest electric Sewing machine Singer ever made its so cool but only a straight stich, I will be buying a machine like you suggest!

This was my second project ever (first was a teddy bear... Mighta been a lil ambitious lol) and I feel so much more confident in my sewing ability. Wonderful tutorial that covers every single minute detail, incredibly well made. Only part I got hung up on was sewing the three waistband pieces together, you didn't explicitly say which piece went on which end but after pausing the video in a few places and holding them up to the pants I figured it out. Thank you so much for the pattern, you've helped progress my sewing so much with just one project. Looking forward to all the projects to come :)

Well done. You’re a trooper to shoot, edit, and voice over a video of this length. FYI if you take a scrap of your poly cotton and fold it several times you can use it to level your presser foot (front or back) so you’re on a level surface when they are not really level.
