  • This lens is definitely beyond what I imagined to be possible and I had a lot of doubts about this lens. But the Laowa 10mm f/2.8 Zero-D when used in the right scenarios can definitely work wonders for your workflow. I have been saying this a lot but I'll say it again, using this felt like using a cheat code especially when shooting in tight spaces.

    Looks like a very interesting piece of glass. Would probably come handy while capturing the overpass in Hong Kong.

      If we’re thinking about the same overpass, I think this is the perfect lens for it!

    The 17 mm f4 Zero D(distortion) is pretty nice too - I use sooo seldomly though, as the fuji GFX glass is far better, and now I also have th excellent GF 20-35 mm

    I have their 12mm lens and it's one of my most used lenses, espacially in cities with architecture and inside dark buildings. I don't think that the move to 10mm would be worth it, but Laowa really do make optical dreams come true

    dude... please please PLEASE stop posting images that have a faux zoom out. I dont need or want to see the zoom. I want to see the full image, no extras. That is what's important. Thank you!

    I don't know why you value autofocus at 10 mm so highly? at 10 mm - especially for narrow-aperture photos - e.g. real-estate and or landscape - focus is easy to achieve even in manual focus mode

    • @NiccoValenzuelaPH
      @NiccoValenzuelaPH  Před 22 dny +1

      I see it as a valuable bonus. It is easy to focus but auto still gives an extra layer of assurance which can be very helpful in overwhelming situations and personally I’ve been in a lot of them. :)

      @@NiccoValenzuelaPH ok… I also ask, because when at extremes optically, achieving focus becomes problematic on a lot of camera systems, because for long telephoto and sniper-like focus, the focus point can still be too large to nail focus. At a wide angle, the focus point can conversely cover too little to make sense, while enlarging it, selects way too much to be useful, just like the smallest point at sniper telephoto range is an issue. Especially in controlled, static environments, I find manual focus to be the only way, while autofocus chooses incorrectly way too often…

    BTW - why do you colorgrade your video so flat?

    • @NiccoValenzuelaPH
      @NiccoValenzuelaPH  Před 22 dny +1

      Personal preference. Anything less flat than this there are others that say its too much. So personally this is my middle ground
