  • Pork Sinigang is a popular Filipino dish known for its tangy and savory flavor. It is a hearty soup made with tender pork meat, an assortment of vegetables, and a souring agent, typically tamarind, which gives the dish its distinct sour taste.
The pork used in Sinigang is often pork ribs or pork belly, which adds richness and flavor to the soup. The meat is usually boiled or simmered for an extended period until it becomes tender and easily falls off the bone.
The soup is characterized by its sourness, which comes from the tamarind pulp or sinigang mix added to the broth. The sourness is balanced with the addition of various vegetables such as tomatoes, radish, eggplant, and leafy greens like kangkong (water spinach). These vegetables not only add texture but also contribute to the overall flavor of the dish.
Pork Sinigang is typically served steaming hot and enjoyed with a side of steamed rice. It is a comforting and satisfying meal that is often shared among family and friends. The combination of sourness, savory pork, and fresh vegetables makes it a popular choice in Filipino cuisine.

Why must they put those giant Chilis on this soup dish?????? Many Filipinos add extra ingridients to traditional Filipino dishes to make it look more complex. Chili on Sinigang. The taste of the Chili will drown the sourness and the taste of the tomatoes.
