I inherited my husband’s children when he and their mother passed away in March of 2021. She had a heart attack at 43 and he went to get the kids to come live with us. Best day of my life because I always wanted children but was unable to conceive. He passed away in June of 2021 of Pancreatic Cancer. I kept my kids and have had them for 2 1/2 years. I am so excited to watch your videos and have opened a checking account for them and am teaching them to handle money so they don’t go through the struggles their parents and I went through. Christmas eve we dont really have plans, but every night before bed my kids read The Night Before Christmas under the tree, i record it for my family that lives all over. Christmas day, we do and go no where, we open gifts, stay in PJs, i cook for us and we hang out all day watching movies and enjoying our stuff and each other. We use to up and leave on Christmas mornings to go here and there.. but my kids would have to drop everything they just opened and get ready and not be able to enjoy their stuff bc we left early and got home late.. i put a stop to that and said never again, my kids need to enjoy their things, enjoy each other and not me stressing to get them ready and out the door "in time".. we do Christmas with family either before or after Christmas day

Yes, that so true. Me and my husband had to learn everything our self and it was hard. It took us long to get things right then if we had help. We try to teach our children all they need to know and educate them on how things and life work so they are prepared for anything. My 5th grader school is doing a job field trip. It were they get to pretend to be adults and have a job and money and bills. I think it is amazing. He learning about work and money , how all that works.
This was really calming to watch ❤ looking forward to sitting down and doing my budget prep for next year too. Love the idea of keeping an overall track of the mortgage and other debts on one page. New subscriber, you popped up on my recommended and I love the calm energy and budgeting tips 😊 I will go and watch some more, would love if you have a video on how you talk to your kids about the budget. Mine are only 7 and 4 ❤
Great video! Enjoyed watching the way you set up your binder. I feel your pain regarding the brakes. I feel like I was taken for granted being a female having to pay $800 for my brakes…& it’s an older car with no electrical connections. I am happy to be able to save for times like these. Christmas this year was different and new for me as well. I just moved to Florida from NY and this is the first year I haven’t seen my mom on Christmas. I have a huge family so it was just 6 of us this year and it was a refreshing change.
My favorite sport to watch is football and my favorite one to play is volleyball. Sometimes my one individual tries to get me to play basketball with him but he mostly just laughs at me.
We’ve watched the grinch at least 4 times already. I love that movie also! Going to continue watching now lol Almost done on paycheck 2 now. Don’t time lapse it, if anyone wants to skip ahead they can. I enjoyed your set up

And this year I have been OBSESSED with football. 😅 I grew up in Southern Africa so we really liked soccer but it's been football this year. I 100% believe it's because of being pregnant with a son. 😂 This Christmas Eve we are going to my in laws for the day. Then we'll head home, put the kids to bed, and make some magic going. And spend Christmas day at home with just us for the first time ever. 😅

First year ever working Christmas so we are doing family dinner with oldest son, and then Christmas morning just for My 21 year old and soon to be 18 year old daughter and hubby before he goes to work at 12 pm

Hey! I paused to sorta explain how I pop in my covers. Hopefully it makes sense lol. It works for me and maybe it will for you! Pop in top corner, then pop in bottom corner, turn your book sideways spiral away from you and gently mash down the spiral, they usually pop in fairly well and quick
