Yup. I was involved in a head on collision a few years ago. Both of my ankles were shattered (among a slew of other things) I’m lucky to be alive much less walking upright. I’ve encountered this kind of bullshit several times. You can’t see my destroyed and rebuilt ankles but I assure you they’re there.

Almost had to call for help (at least someone that could get a wheelchair for me and get me the hell out of there) Stage 3 copd and a screwed up spine changes your life. I've had my placard and been on disability since i was in my late 30s. Don't ever judge a book by its cover. What passed me of though is when I'm waiting for a spot to park in and someone comes from the other way and takes it - then they run (literally) into the store! I put my day on hold and trap them in so i can make their day take a little longer since they're in such a rush. They don't like me afterwards - but hopefully they get the hint to quit using someone else's disability for their benefit

To be fair, I have severe chronic pain which is an invisible disability, I appear "normal" whatever normal is, and have a disability sticker.

I am end stage SLE and I get same reaction. No one can die in peace anymore. The minute that I get out of my vehicle it’s obvious that I can’t walk normally. When I first park even at 68 yrs old people question me. Mind your own business.
