    Just curious why you didn't opt to add all new joists. You could have achieved the desired joist spacing, and not mixed new lumber with old. Also, the beam to post connection could have been corrected (beam should rest on the post, not bolted to it). Lastly, instaed of deck boards butting up to one another, a break board down the center would give (in my opinion) a cleaner look.

      The Old was actually much more solid than the new wood. That’s why we left it. Also the homeowner didn’t want to spend any more money. All the extra framing you see there I pretty much did for free I agree 100% that the girder should be sitting on top of the post, but again this was an existing deck and the homeowner didn’t want to spend any more money I can only do so much for free and I can only recommend thanks for common and please like and subscribe.     Did you have to rip the last board up against the house?
    The framing came out perfect! Great video!

      Good morning yes, we ripped the last board up against the house as well.
