It's a bit of a hybrid setup, where we purchased a carrier then attached it to our bicycle.
This is great because it is a:
-Rear Rack Bicycle Dog Carrier
-Easy to build
-Lot of functionality
PARTS LIST:
Pet Gear Dog Carrier - amzn.to/44aDBEM
3/8" plywood sheet (2'x4')
4 - 3/8" x 1.5" bolts
4 - 3/8" washers
4 - 3/8" wingnuts
2 - bolt plates (look at your rack to determine what size)
1 - spray paint (choose your color)
1 - Package of zip ties (minimum 10 quantity)

this is great the only thing I would change is use gear ties which come in multiple sizes instead of zip ties. This is so you can take the basket off and you do not have to repace the zip ties every time you want to use the rack for other stuff while not being with your family pets. You can leave the board on as is and use it still for say a backpack,camping gear ect. thanks for the video it was fun to watch.

Hi...I thought your video was AWESOME...I have been looking for a pet carrier for my scooter and the ones I have seen (to buy) are not only expensive but kinda so-so....I did not like that those pet carriers were mostly for motorcycles, were kinda big and used straps vs bolted to the scooter rack. I also have a small maltese of 6 lbs...and your pet carrier, bolted (to the wood first) to my Vespa will be PERFECT-that is, if I can actually have my friend help me build this carrier. Thanks!

This is a great idea! Just wondering if there would be a way to easily be able to remove the carrier on a day to day basis...without having to cut tie wraps...

I believe it was from Tractor supply co but I know we have seen them at Ace Hardware as well. We just checked Home Depot website and found “u bolt” would find it. Just need to buy appropriate size for your bike. 😊
