  • Grandmaster Ben Finegold spends a short time on many games where a player blundered and lost several moves later. See if you can solve these mate problems faster than the class. You must be at least four years old to answer!

Watching Ben Finegold has got me interested in it again :) I got a chess app a week ago in hopes of rekindling my love of the game and looked up offensive openings to give me the spark I was looking for. I bounced around several lecturers on CZcams and almost called it quits until I found Ben Finegold. With a personality like that, it's hard to watch any other lecturer on chess! I'm going to disguise myself as a little kid, and take this class. I would be awesome. I'd get the answer to questions he didn't even ask. I'd have my hand up the entire time, and sometimes I'd pump it even higher and go "Oh oh oh" when I was desperate to show that I was smarter than the other kids.

    At the position at 22:50 would rook D3 be a solid move? If rook captures white then queen can recapture and also be in position to defend at F1. If black queen takes on E2, rook on D3 can take rook D8 and checkmate.

    • @dr.bluesfield3629
      @dr.bluesfield3629 Před 3 lety

      not too solid, simply Qb1 check and white loses all of his pieces
