Criminally underrated film. I'm glad a legend like Friedkin gave his opinion. Very interesting hearing what he had to say and I strongly agree. No other film captures police procedure like Narc. Bonus points for mentioning Paul Thomas Anderson as well.
The scene where ray.l and Jason...are sitting in a restaurant. That restaurant is about 4 blocks from my apartment. And the scene where there in the tunnel with the cop trying to score dope is also the pathway where I used to live in Mississauga...I can actually remember when they were filming that scene! The restaurant is torn down now..they put up a condo
@@DrRichardCranium ya bro...u KNOW!! Lol....back when Port Credit was trashy...prostitutes every where and crack! It was bad back then...I'd get pulled over just for doing a late night walk in my 30's .....the cops would always say to me..." U fit the description of a burglary suspect...! Well it WORKED...they finally cleaned up the town.!🇨🇦✌️✝️
Great film..anybody here see Q&A ? Excellent film as well gritty 80s cop drama thriller Nick Nolte,Armande Assanti Tymothy Hutton..fits in the same wheelhouse 😎👌
Great movie NARC, and btw I could listen to Friedkin talking for a whole lifetime
Jason Patric has two outstanding roles, in Rush and Narc. Never had recognition he deserved. Liotta is a legend. Great movie.
Don’t forget The Lost Boys. I also read that he was really good in After Dark My Sweet.
@@matthewschwartz6607 Yes, you're right. Also, Your Friends and Neighbors...

I saw Narc in the theater on my birthday in 2003. Excellent acting.

This is actually my favorite film. Loved it since the day it was released.
William friedkin is a legend must important thing in films is rapport and dialogue
Best first three-minutes to a movie ever... truly a breathtaking movie of substantive depth.

Jason Patric, son of Jason Miller, Father Karras in The Exorcist.

Q&A is fab yeah. Nolte is terrifying in it, in a believable way.
I think William Friedkin is directed from “The Hunted” from two months in 2003.
What documentary is this clip from? I just recently saw his Exorcist leap of faith documentary it was excellent
From the NARC special features on the DVD and Blu Ray.
French Connection is my shit!!!!
Poor Bill, he's lost his mind! "Today's directors are every bit as talented as Coppola and Scorsese and Spielberg and Bogdanovich"...tsk, tsk, tsk!
Carnahan turned out to be a hack as well.
Name some of them then
