I’ve actually put a bed in the cabin of my ute. I pulled out the back seat, dropped the passenger seat down and built a bed over the top of it. It’s perfect length for me to sleep comfortably and being a solo female I feel a little more secure at night 👍🏽
I’m building a “chuck box” for the back so I can have everything contained and easy to get to.
I also have a 3 x 3 gazebo that I can actually park under so I’m out of the rain to cook and have shade to keep the car cool.. still have plenty of room to have my table and chair set up under it too😊🏕🎣🔥
When I've got it fully setup for camping I have a 1.5m awning on the rear of the roof rack which extends out over the tailgate. I have seen people remove the passenger seat and have a bed in the cabin lengthwise.
@@AllThingsOutdoors I wanted to keep my passenger seat in. It’s easy to pull the bed out and put it in the back if need be👍🏽
I’m just working with what I have at the moment and keeping it all very simple, contained but usable 🤣👍🏽
I like my simple setup too. More the fact that I can just jump in bed or leave quickly if I have to and it also opens a lot of possibilities for where you can camp, legal or not so legal😜
