How in the hell does someone score a half point in one game?
@@adrianjohnson1155 bcuz if you don’t get real minutes and you only play in garbage time, then that means you may only get a few seconds or minutes of playing time. And once you sub in that counts towards your stats. So if you play only a minute, then the odds are you won’t score at all, and then you get a big fat 0 added to your scoring average. So if he played in 9 games. He could’ve had 14 points in one game, and then played scrub minutes in the other 8 games and had 0’s across the board. That would make his scoring average 1.5 pts/game.

We have the stat sheets for the college team, we know the player only played for one year, so we know this was the first and last year of the career of a player named Stephen Smith, at least for that team. It's unlikely Stephen A Smith played for another college team but never mentioned it, only the team where he averaged 1.5 points. It's also unlikely he did military service and has never mentioned it. But that also means Stephen A Smith can't be a freshman in 1991.
Something doesn't add up here. It seems more than likely that Stephen A Smith is just pretending to be a player who actually was 2 to 3 years younger than him, and just attended the same school at the same time.
